Friendly, laid-back campsite, great pitches & atmosphere. Clean facilities praised, staff helpful. Good spot for canal walks, pubs, village. Fire pits/BBQ available. Some noted dated showers, occasional smells/noise, but most loved it & would return.

Liked Friendly owner
Location close to Willington.
Disliked Travellers on the site.
Having to ask where my electric hook up was as the travellers were plugged into it running a 3 way hook up extension.

Liked Very clean toilets clean site, very friendly staff. BBQ coal and gas available to use pizza oven available. There is a electric field a none electric field (Andy the staff) even said there is field for wild camping, the lady sorry I didn't get her name said if the toilets are ever not clean enough to please let her know and she would go and clean it straight away but that wasn't needed as they was always very clean. Ran out of toilet roll once but I did go at 6 am but when I went again at 7.30 they were fully stocked again, but I believe people had taken the rolls as there wasn't any cardboard rolls about.
Pot wash nice and clean and inside so out of the lovely British weather.
We don't normally stay at the same site twice but we have booked again to come back in may,
Disliked Nothing really to dislike but if I had to pick one thing it would be that the main bins are not on the electric field but in summer I know I will be glad of that as the bees won't be close by,

Liked Lovely little find with walks along the canal 5 mins walk away. A family run site.
Toilets and showers lovely and clean.
Fridge / freezer available.
At this time the Bubble Inn is closed for refurbishment.
I felt very safe as a solo female camper.
Disliked Compared to other sites the pitches are quite close in some hook up areas.

Wouldn’t stay again. Facilities were in bad disrepair

Liked It was a nice flat site and the facilities were clean
Disliked The facilities were in a terrible state. There were broken showers which had clearly been like that for some time. There were no hooks or places to put your clothes so they didn’t get wet. The shower drains were blocked with hair and so the trays overflowed.
There was no one on site even though they say the office is manned so we just chose a site and hooked up.
It was expensive at £25 relative to the price of other places we have stayed on this trip and also for the state of the facilities. Wouldn’t stay again

Liked Big and level pitches. Indoors washing up area with hot water. Easy to find and decent access road for bigger cars/vans. Fire pit and a wheelbarrow with fire wood for £10. We loved the barbecue/pizza oven area.
Disliked A bit noisy from a main road although it didn't bother us

Liked Site close to canal and pub, friendly host
Disliked Toilet block was basic and some people don’t clean up after themselves (not the sites fault)

Site Fairly clean.…

Liked Site Fairly clean.
Disliked Shower/ toilets dated and in need of renovation. No mirrors over sinks for shaving no curtains in Shower. Under aged children driving 4x4's around the site unsupervised like there on a grande prix circuit seems to be mainly used by travellers and workers even car repairs and campervan sales.
