Liked Location to motorway

Disliked The site is rundown & lake over grown. Didn't use the shower etc as used on board, the eslan point is in the trees. The lakes has lots of small fish, would be good to teach a child as every time you put you rod in you get a small fish. The larger fish are put in the private lake for the residents.

From the manager: Hi Thankyou for your review and we are sorry you were disappointed. Our grounds are maintained but given the current severe heat the grass and surrounding areas have been burnt and we do not use our sit on mower/petrol mower at the moment so that we do not spark a fire. The two fishing lakes, for the use of touring guests ,contain various size/style of carp all ranging in size from small to fairly large. We only put some large fish into the residents lake when we feel the lake is getting overcrowded. Unfortutunatly the Elsan point was already sited when the current management took over and flows into a septic tank due to our site being totally off grid.

Liked Very well kept site, wash rooms are top notch. Plenty of fish in the lakes.

Liked Nice site for families or groups, has all the amenities you need. Pub with a good priced menu. Unfortunately we didn't book for food before we arrived & they were fully booked.

Liked When we arrived the pub carpark was full, so a good sign the food will be nice. The site manager met us when we pulled up & offered us a few options of pitches (shade / sun) we had a level pitch with EHU, the pitch had an amazing amount of much space either side. Used our own shower & toilet so can not comment on the sites facilities. Nice clean tidy site & adult only.

Disliked Was looking for to the peace & quiet from the school holidays but the motorhome next to us had 4 dogs constantly barking!

Liked Nice small site, Tom very friendly & helpful. Pub just outside the gate. Shower block looked ok, we used ours in the van. Adult only site which is great. Other reviews mentioned the gate, I was expecting this to be difficult to get in, it was not, unlock & drive in, so the site is secure at all time which I appreciate. Would stay again.

Disliked Pitches are a gravel carpark, every time a vehicle goes past you are covered on a cloud of dust, pitch slopes in 2 directions

Liked Really nice spacious site, shower areas etc. kept very clean. Cafe, farm shop & pub within easy walking distance. Nice locals walks. Bus link from Axminster to Weymouth. WiFi on site & aerial socket on pitch. Very friendly helpful site staff.
