Liked The Marlbank is a quiet little site. And we enjoyed our stay. The Marlbank Inn offers great food and is welcoming.
This site has huge potential, but with investment. It could be a fantastic adult only site benefitting from a nice on-site country inn. But to improve it needs more footfall. More footfall with allow for more investment. Facilities can be easily improved. I'd personally trim back overgrown trees and bushes. Create 15 new electric hardstanding hook-ups and then have non-electric camping around the wooded area. I'd also ensure the gate closed so that the camping area is separate to the pub car park. In the interim a general spruce up, trim back and a few repairs will make all the difference.

Liked The site is amazing! Absolutely perfect for us in every way. Facilities are great, clean and well placed. The owner is friendly and available and regularly checks everything is fine and whether you need anything. The pitches are level and all hardstanding. It is an idyllic small site with outstanding views all around you. You are enveloped in wonderful, peaceful greenery. The site is well placed to visits some beautiful North Wales areas, eg, Conwy, Betws-y-Coed, Harlech, Porthmadog and Llandudno, to name a few. There are some lovely local pubs offering fantastic food and drink. We will most definitely be back again!

Liked Old Barn is exactly the type of site that we look for. It isn't an all singing and dancing site, however it is a calm and relaxing site that provides a great touring experience. Pitches are pretty level and a great size. The staff/owners we met were friendly and approachable. The site is tidy and looked after and recycling ethos is a real bonus. The toilet/shower block is old but does the job and the showers were always hot. A bonus for me was getting to watch the small planes fly over from the nearby Sandown Airport. There are also lovely walks from the rear of the site into open fields and woodland. Dog friendly too. Morrison's, Aldi, KFC and a good pub all in walking distance. There are also a number of local takeaways that will deliver to the site.
Disliked No dislikes at all.

Liked The site is a real gem of a site. In our opinion 'FAULTLESS'. It is a beautiful, tranquil and relaxing site tucked away in a woodland setting. Kingsmead is a great base to explore east Devon and south Somerset from. There is a great selection of facilities including; Yurts, Bell Tents, Static Caravans and quaint camping areas tucked into the woodland. There are numerous pitches both electric and non-electric. Toilets were spotless as were all of the facilities. The owners are friendly and welcoming.
