Power optional grass and earth site
Liked The views. Absolutely beautiful setting. The river & mountains make this site. Also lots of trees so plenty of shade as it was 36°c when we were there. Helpful staff.
It has a pool & play area.
Disliked The disarray of pitches. They are supposed to be marked out but its a free for all & not great. Someone staying there helped us.
The site is very unkempt with old dilapidated caravans here & there, broken furniture, rubble etc. The facilities are very run down & smelly. Nothing felt clean, bugs everywhere. No toilet seats, loo paper or soap. Ino this used to be a normal thing with French sites but alot have now updated & got with the times. I will never understand how providing the bare minimum ie loo seats is still not taken on.
This site has so much potential to be top class...it just needs updating & a good tidy/clean up

Liked Nice big pitch & peaceful considering it was quite full. The facilities were decent & water was hot.
Helpful hosts.
The surroundings had lovely views
Disliked We were told Omaha beach was 20 mins walk away which is why I booked this site but it was at least 40 mins & very unsteady terrain & alot of it down a steep hill.

Liked Such a lovely warm welcome by Vincent. Explained everything & showed us around. Very helpful & much appreciated.
Showers/toilets were clean. The pool looked lovely although we didn't use it.
Very quiet site which we love. Lovely views. WiFi available, bit intermittent but no problem.
We paid €28 & think this is a fair price.

Powered gravel and sand caravan site
Liked Fairly level pitch. Close to Lulworth cove & other places of interest.
The sunrise was beautiful.
Disliked The facilities. Appalling tbh. Cold unheated & run down. They are definitely an afterthought! We were told the toilets/showers nearest the pitches weren't accessible & to use the "small campsite ones". Awful is an understatement. 1 toilet & 2 showers. There was a radiator but it wasn't on. One of the showers didn't get hot. My husband went to speak to the proprietor & was told the shower takes a few minutes to get hot & they would come & look at the radiator as it should be on. We ran the shower for a few mins but still couldn't get hot water. We were there 4 nights/5 days...the radiator was never on.
I do not expect luxury but I do expect a decent standard of decor & for some kind of heating during the cooler months.
If we could have found somewhere else to stay we would of because the facilities were truly awful.

Hastings, East Sussex, England
Powered grass site (medium)
Liked Situated close to Hastings with bus stop outside the site. Takes around 10 mins into town. There's a small woodland walk a few mins away where we saw Deer 🥰. Parks are further...we walked to Alexander Park in about 50 mins. That has lakes & a lovely cafe. Owners were super helpful & went above & beyond which was refreshing & much appreciated. We stayed on a medium pitch with EHU. Small shop on site, washing up area plus showers/loos.
Disliked Not a criticism just helpful advice as we've stayed at alot of sites through the UK & Europe. Maybe try & incorporate a couple more showers each as when the site is full 2 showers (for men & women) isn't enough. More hooks & shelving in the facilities is always welcome to 😊.
You pay £1 for 5mins in shower but once water comes on 40 seconds are wasted waiting for water to get hot plus the water pressure goes down alot when anyone else is using the other shower or taps...maybe turn the pressure up slightly if this is possible & look at changing it to 6 mins?
Most pitches are sloping so remember your chocks 😬

Disliked Showers in 2nd block aren't very warm so we used the 1st block which were fine.

Liked Everything. Small secure well maintained site. Staff were helpful. Toilet/showers were clean & warm...very luxurious tbh. Lovely big showers, water was hot & water pressure lovely. Provided shower gel/liquid soap & hand moisturiser. Plus cotton wool pads/balls & buds. It's just off a very busy road but the noise didn't affect us at all. Some noise from farm next door but its a working farm so also didn't bother us.
10 min walk into small village that has a shop & pub.
Good WiFi signal & loved the little welcome gift of uht milk, biscuits etc in a net bag. Cute 💗

Liked It was lovely & quiet (I appreciate it was early April so may change as it gets fuller)
Spacious gravel pitch (we had the small pitch but it was a lovely size) incl a picnic table. Trees all around which we loved. We were joined at breakfast by a Robin, Blue tit & Great tit...we were so amazed how tame they were. Very cute 😍
The facilities are clean & warm & the reception staff very helpful.
We went on the woodland walk which was so nice, lots of different paths & areas to explore. Really beautiful. You get views down on to the village which are spectacular 🙌
Price includes entry to village so we feel it was worth it as this is such a niche experience.

Facilities are basic but good. Nice hot showers.
Each pitch has a fab log burner and you purchase wood from reception.
Our pitch was fairly level.
Cider farm within walking distance (quite hilly)
We chose to walk the longer way through fields but there's a road way to.

Liked The facilities were good...heated and clean. The outdoor washing up area was covered which was nice as alot of outdoor ones are usually exposed to rain etc.
The owner was lovely...very helpful and pleasant 😊
Disliked Only that the pitch we had was quite muddy...obviously if we were in a motorhome that wouldn't have been an issue but we had a tent. But I appreciate this time of year its hard to keep the grass going.

Liked Quiet
Disliked If you like wild camping this might be for you but do not expect much! The location is beautiful but thats where it stops! Its very hilly so if u have an old motorhome like ours its not great. The "facilities" are across a main road! The are run down and in dire need of updating! This place has alot of potential but its let down by a lack of decent facilities.

Disliked Facilities could do with make over...they were dark, cold and a bit gloomy. I hate this "no loo seat" thing in France and having no soap, hand towels/dryers or bins is ridiculous!

From the manager: We would like to thank you for your review. Since we took over last year this place, we are conscious that the old sanitary block is out of date and "gloomy" and have already planned the total refurbishing of it in october. In the mean time we started monday to repaint it in bright colors and to change what needs to be changed before high season.
Montopoli in Val D'Arno, Pisa, Italy
Liked Nothing so we left!
Disliked Everything! It says grass/gravel pitches for motorhomes yet it was grass only and as it was pouring with rain we would of got stuck! The inclines are ridiculous and people should be made aware of them! We have an older van and struggled to get out of the place! The toilet block is up on a hill...that you have to get to by horrible stone steps! The toilet/showers open onto a veranda and they have glass doors! Frosted or not if you have the light on inside...everyone can see what your doing! Plus theres no heating...it was freezing! We ended up leaving because it really wasnt up to a decent standard! The pics on their website make it look beautiful...it wasnt!!!
