Presteigne, Powys, Wales
Unpowered grass site
Liked Very good sized pitch, whole site well laid out and clearly marked out. We were backed on to the river where we found it peaceful.
Very welcoming staff on arrival.
Facilities were clean and easily accessible.
The whole site was very tidy and interesting walks from the site.
We didn’t use the dark zone viewing zone but will next time.
Great dog friendly site which is very important to us. On arrival they give the doggy guest a ball, there is a secure space for off lead and even a dog shower.
Presteigne and Knighton close by, both small villages well worth a visit.
Loved the place, second visit and will be going again.
Disliked Nothing

Liked Location is great, fabulous bike rides to local villages, coastline and town. Look for the path routes.
Well maintained pitches and marked out.
Liked that the cars are not by the tents (though we were in a campervan).
Helpful host.
Great play area for children.
Wi-Fi excellent.
Facilities are a little dated but kept clean and very functional. Lovely hot water from the shower. Use the middle one, the other 2 are only cold.
Take your kettle with you to get hot water for washing up, there is a electric socket in the washing room for phone charging, hairdryer and kettle though we had electric.
It was a great price and would certainly return.
Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Liked Host was fab, borrowed us some extensions leads after we forgot our external EHU ! Really couldn’t ask for a better host.
Lovely very well kept site, nice and quiet at night, slight road noise during the day but not a problem, the road is clearly a very popular for bike runs and vintage cars. Understandable as the scenery is worth a visit. Walked into town with a little shop and post office and pub, good menu and a lovely little church.
Describe as basic facilities though clean and very adequate.
We were sited with the river behind us and it was lovely to sit and look at the views and the farm animals.
Lovely area set aside with children's part and football posts.
Surprised how good the Wi-Fi was did drop occasionally to 3G
We will be going back when we are looking for somewhere to just chill and take some time out.
Disliked Shower pressure could be better and toilet roll and hand wipes ran out, though the site was busy and maybe more that one shower needed especially when site is busy.

From the manager: Thanks for the very considerate and kind review. We'll always try and help our customers if they have a problem, glad we could get you sorted so you could enjoy your stay. We're refurbishing the shower block this winter cost allowing and one of our aims is to get additional showers installed.
