Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales
Powered grass site
Liked Location near the beach, the coastal path and St David’s is perfect. Pitches are spacious and facilities clean if a little bit basic (but you are camping after all!)
Disliked One night was a bit noisy due to a large group of young lads in tents sitting out til silly o’clock. We’ve stayed here a couple of times and it’s only one night out of many.

Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England
Unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked Spacious flat pitch in quiet rural location. The farm animals and honesty shop are a nice touch.
Disliked The signage for the camping field once you’ve arrived isn’t obvious and a map on the arrival email or even a clear A board just before the field would help. The facilities are quirky but the hot water in the pot wash was tepid at best.

Aberporth, Ceredigion, Wales
Unpowered concrete and grass motorhome site
Liked The view is great and the location is good for walks to two lovely beaches. The site is well kept and facilitates are clean. Amazing sunset.
Disliked It’s a “remote” site in that everything is online and there are no staff on site. The facilities are basic and, if the site were busy, the two toilets, two showers and two sinks might not be enough. The site is on quite a sharp slope.

Powered concrete slab caravan site
Liked The views are immense and the proximity to the coastal path and to Portpatrick are great.
Disliked Quite a long way from the touring pitches to the shower block. Personal gripe but I never really like push button showers.

Hay-on-Wye, Powys, Wales
Powered concrete and grass caravan site
Liked Friendly staff, excellent facilities, well maintained site with lovely views.
Disliked Nothing to dislike but like many sites the WiFi is iffy. One of the reasons for choosing this site was the potential to walk into Hay with our dog but this wasn’t available in practice because of very tall styles on the route. With a small dog you can lift over a style or with no dog then it would be great but with a larger dog it does mean you have to drive into Hay.

Liked Location is perfect with short walk into St David’s and also Caerfai beach. Slightly longer but pleasant walk to Whitesands Bay. Pitch level and well spaced. Toilet/shower/washing up facilities very clean.
Disliked The only complaint is that the WiFi is poor but this is minor issue

Swansea, Glamorgan, Wales
Unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked The view is great and Oxwich beach is just a short walk away.
Disliked Quite impersonal in that nobody from the site spoke to us during our stay.
All external taps are push taps with no way of connecting a hose so no way to fill a campervan/motorhome water tank.
Showers/wash block water warm in the morning but barely tepid in the evening.
Be aware the hilltop location is very exposed and can be really windy.

Unpowered grass site (four person)
Liked Site was quiet, level, very well located for the town and for walks and was good value for money.
Disliked The toilet and shower block are pretty basic and none of the doors on the showers could be locked but on the other hand there was plenty of hot water.

From the manager: Thanks for your review and really pleased that you found the site clean, tidy, convenient and quiet - and good value. Sorry about the showers - we checked the locks and yes, found that a couple were a sticking a bit - quickly rectified.
Corby, Northamptonshire, England
Unpowered grass caravan site
Liked Site is nicely laid out, easy to find and pretty quiet. The pricing is fair. Staff were welcoming and friendly and the dog exercise field is good. WiFi about the best we’ve had on site. Toilet/showers warm and clean.
Disliked Site advertised as having a farm shop and restaurant. We arrived at 4pm to find both shop and cafe closed; so no food available. There are pubs within a short drive but disappointing to find that the facilities advertised weren’t available.
