There’s no mistaking where you’re spending time when you’re staying at WeCamp Pedraforca – the stunning mountain views from pretty much every corner of the place (see pics for evidence) are constant reminders of your scenic location in the Catalan Pyrenees. To be slightly more specific, this site is at the foot of the Pedraforca mountain, between the little villages of Maçaners and Saldes, both of which are less than a five-minute drive away for restaurants, bakeries and the like. It’s also just on the edge of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park, making it a rather fine spot for hiking, climbing and other outdoorsy antics. And it’s also a rather fine spot for relaxation – around the site are two outdoor pools, and a wellness centre with an indoor pool, sauna and Jacuzzi (a small extra charge applies for these facilities). Table tennis, pétanque, playgrounds and a multisports court are on hand for folks who fancy a bit of activity. Active times or chilling out (or a mix of the both), you’ll be needing to eat, and that’s easily done here – the restaurant serves up local dishes, a kids’ menu and takeaways, and there’s a mini market for those who’d rather do their own catering.

Liked Beautiful scenery, lower pool was fantastic. Amazing WiFi for planning the next stage of our journey. Live music on Sat evening.

Disliked No toilet paper early in the morning. Pitch wasnt level. Access road around camp was tricky, very steep in parts and challenging. One vehicle got stuck trying to get out of their pitch.

Liked La ubicación, las instalaciones y el restaurante.

Disliked Vimos un cartel con rutas cercanas donde ponía "para más información preguntar en recepción". Fuimos a preguntar a recepción y a la persona que había allí no parecía hacerle mucha ilusión explicarnos sobre las rutas y nos dijo que si eso lo mirásemos en el móvil.

Liked El trato muy bueno y muchos caminos para andar, sin coger el coche .El paisaje

espectacular ,parcela grande poco cuidada y salvaje. Piscina muy chula en la parte de abajó .servicios muy limpios .

Liked Beautiful scenery and views of the mountains. Great waterfall showers and they were hot and the bathrooms were always very clean. Amazing reception team who helped us book in with a local garage in town as we had an issue with the van. Spa option was great and gave us a chance to unwind. We ate at the restaurant and the local Catalan dishes were delicious, would highly recommend the Cap i Pota! It looks like they are renewing some parts of the site with the outdoor swimming pool overlooking the Pedraforca mountains so I can imagine it will be amazing in summertime and we would love to come back again.

Disliked Only a slight dislike but the grey water dumping was on a steep incline and was a bit difficult to navigate. Would not stop us from visiting again but would be good if the campsite develops a better system.

Liked El camping dispone de varios servicios interesantes i diferentes.

Disliked La distribución del camping llega a ser agobiante debido a muchas parcelas están delimitadas por muro/valla y todo parece muy junto. El camping esta diferenciado en dos zonas con características muy diferentes, dependiendo que quieras, te puedes llevar una decepción.

Liked Las vistas son increibles, las piscinas preciosas y el personal muy amable.
Los baños están limpios y bien ubicados.

Disliked Los parques infantiles se quedan un poco cortos... Estaría bien modernizarlos y si hubiera uno junto a la piscina sería un puntazo.

Route directions

On the C16 follow the directions for Guardiolá de Bergueda. Continue on the B400 towards Saldes. After approximately 13.5km, you will find the campsite on your left.

Local attractions

First port of call for guests thinking about what to do with their days should be reception, where you can pick up info on local outings, and enlist staff help to book excursions and activities. They’ve also got details of some of the area’s best hiking routes – there are more than 40 GPS-tracked trails nearby, including easy woodland strolls and more challenging ascents of Pedraforca mountain. Vallcebre, 20 minutes’ drive away, is a hub for canyoning and climbing (with three via ferrata climbing routes to follow); watersports including kayaking, paddleboarding and wakeboarding can be had within a half-hour drive, and there’s an adventure park 15 minutes’ drive away. Take a break from all the activity with something a little gentler: perhaps the short walk to the prehistoric Dolmen de Molers, a trot round the castles in Saldes (five minutes’ drive) or the walled town of Gósol (15 minutes) or meandering around medieval Bagà (20 minutes). The Gaudi-designed Ca l'Artigas Gardens are half an hour away; for a really leisurely day out you can ride there on a narrow-gauge train line from La Pobla de Lillet, 25 minutes away.
