How about pitching up in the province of Malaga, surrounded by three national parks in a setting among olive trees, centenary trees and forests – and a piffling distance from the fab old town of Ronda? Sure you would... so settle down for some significant time at Camping El Sur. El Sur is a peaceful, roomy and family-friendly site, close to the Sierra de Grazalema, Sierra de las Nieves and Los Alcornocales natural parks. Stacks more spectacular sights are within easy driving distance: ask the knowledgeable El Sur reception team for info on the best attractions and scenic car ride routes. Should you care to stick around on site for a spell (you surely should), the modern facilities include miniature golf, ping pong tables and a summer pool scenically set among greenery and flowers. A bar-restaurant serves traditional local food along with tapas and homemade cakes – you might very much care for all these foodie goodies also.

A top spot! Super clean, staff are brilliant, and Ronda's a short stroll away. Fantastic facilities: great pool, roomy pitches, modern loos. On-site grub's good and affordable. Wi-Fi's a bit sluggish, pegs can be tough, but it's a gem. You'll want to come back!

Liked Ganz toller Campingplatz, sehr sauber und große Terassenförmig gestaltete Parzellen. Die Anbindung (sogar zu Fuß in 30 min) ins Stadtzentrum von Ronda ist ideal. Das Restaurant auf dem Campingplatz ist sehr gut.

Liked Die ganze Anlage ist sehr gut durchdacht und in sehr gutem Zustand. Alles ist, dank den guten Mitarbeitern tip top sauber und gepflegt.Die Steinskulpturen auf dem Gelände sind überraschend für einen Camping.Bäume spenden Schatten, die Parzellen haben eine gute Grösse. Der kleine Laden ist mit dem Nötigsten ausgerüstet und das dazugehörige Restaurant ist zu empfehlen. Auch Spanier treffen sich da.
Das Highlight an diesem Camping sind jedoch Loredana und ihre Kollegin an der Reception, die immer eine gute Stimmung verbreiten und extrem speditiv arbeiten. Herzlichen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt

Liked Site facilities are fantastic. Lovely staff and super clean picturesque site.
Superb location with Ronda a 25 minute walk away. As dog owners we also found it a great area for walking and hiking.

Disliked Absolutely nothing here to dislike. Great value and great location

Liked Es ist immer schön wenn man sehr freundlich empfangen wird und hier wird man wirklich toll empfangen dann sind da die vorzüglich geraden Terrassen Plätze mit Stromanschluss und ausreichend Platz ist auf jeden Stellplatz .

Disliked das Internet ist ein bisschen schwach aber das scheint fast überall so zu sein.
Was mich wiederholt geärgert hat das sind unsere Wohnmobilisten die nach dem großen Geschäft die Toiletten nicht saubermachen können ... schämt euch !

Liked Familiärer Campingplatz, der sehr sauber gehalten wird. Die Stellplätze sind groß genug und teils schattig (ausreichend schattig), die Bäder sind neu renoviert, der Spielplatz ist intakt und groß für die Größe des Campingplatzes. Der Pool ist sauber, man bekommt immer einen Platz -auch im Schatten. Wir haben dort viele nette Menschen kennengelernt. Die Eigentümerin ist sehr herzlich, hat uns viele Tipps gegeben und uns immer mit Namen angesprochen.

Local attractions

To the mountaintop city of Ronda first, for shops, restaurants, tapas bars and Moorish sites such as the Arab baths, Ronda bullring (one of the oldest in Spain), the Palacio de Mondragón and the gardens – and spectacular views – of Paseo de Blas Infante. Ronda's also famed for its El Tajo gorge, where the Guadalevín river gushes through the city centre: stop off on the 18th-century bridge spanning the gorge for stunning views over the Serranía de Ronda mountains. This beaut part of Andalusia is a land of high peaks, Spanish fir forests and the white villages of the Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos and their buildings dating back to Phoenician and Roman times. The best known of these is probably Setenil de las Bodegas, where houses hang over the Trejo river; other must-sees are Olvera, Grazalema, Algodonales, El Gastor and Zahara de la Sierra, all most picworthy indeed. Caves, caverns, chasms and caving are popular picks too: take a trip to see the 25,000 year old wall paintings of Cueva del Hundidero-Gato and Cueva de la Pileta, making up Andalusia's biggest cave system. The caves are about half an hour's drive away and can be visited in groups of up to 20 – booking in advance is essential, so ask the Camping El Sur reception team to assist. Fishing, horse riding, paragliding, hot air ballooning and greenway cycling trails are all within easy reach.
