Camping Bois et Toilés

The local area has a lot of crowd-pleasing sights, with Safari de Peaugres zoo (20 minutes' drive) likely to be close to the top of many travellers' lists. It's also easy to envisage sporty outings, like driving up to Space Eaux Vives boat rental centre (20 minutes) and taking the family out for a peaceful paddle on the river (or weaving through the more high-adrenaline slalom course). It won't take you long to get out on nature-themed days out either: park up in Malleval (25 minutes) and walk a few kilometres to see the local waterfall, or drive further into the Pilat Natural Regional Park and take the time to admire the larger-scale Saut du Gier (an hour). When you're in the mood for something more urban you have three main options here: Vienne (30 minutes) for Roman architecture, Valence (40 minutes) for terrace aperitifs and South of France vibes or Lyon (45 minutes) for France's finest gastronomy. All three are also accessible by train.
