Domaine Ramonjavel

Not for nowt is the Lot et Garonne nicknamed the Tuscany of France: the scenery is stunning, the agriculture and cuisine highly varied, and the climate is tiptop with warm sunny summers. Fortified villages, castles and wine châteaux are all nearby. Walkers, hikers and cyclists have quite the choice to pick from; if you're not sure where to start, ask Brigitte or Don for their recommendations for trips around local vineyards, orchards, sunflower fields, forests and rivers. And as it's only a couple of kilometres from the Lot river, Domaine Ramonjavel has easy access to boating, fishing, pedalo trips and waterskiing... or you could just laze on the beaches nearby at Castelmoron and Fongrave. The summer season (from May to October) sees specialist markets alongside the regular weekly ones of the surrounding villages, such as the May flower market in May in Nerac, the night markets in Marmande, Vianne and Prayssas, and the Saturday markets in Monflanquin, Agen and Tonneins. Flea markets are big in this region too, so hop along and find yourself a Lot valley bargain.
