A charming, rustic cabin escape! Guests loved the cosy digs, good kitchen, hot showers & friendly host. Perfect for nature lovers with nearby walks & resident cows. Can get chilly, access lane can be rough for some cars. Low ceilings & minor privacy issues noted.

Great place to get away from it all
2 bedroom cabin
Liked Peace and quiet! Hearing nothing but birdsong in the mornings. Great walks in the nature reserve nearby. The cabin is basic but very cosy - if the whole "cabin in the woods" vibe appeals to you, then you will love this place.
Disliked The lane to get there is a bit rough. Limited heating so wouldn't want to stay there in winter.

Beautiful, peaceful cabin with great facilities and friendly hosts
2 bedroom cabin
Liked We had a lovely time staying at Nook Cabin! The location was peaceful and scenic, with a perfect blend of nature and comfort. The cabin was clean, well-maintained, and had a charming rustic vibe that made the getaway feel special. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities and cozy seating area outside — ideal for relaxing and catching up with friends. Check-in was smooth, and the hosts were friendly and helpful throughout. Liked the horses too.
Disliked The only downside was the heating — the cabin got uncomfortably cold during the night, which affected our sleep. Some extra heating or insulation would definitely improve the overall experience.

Well equipped cabin with ample facilities for cooking.
2 bedroom cabin
Liked The remote location, peace and quiet. Ample cooking facilities. Free WiFi which came in handy for our 9 year old. We bought our own logs and had a campfire and roasted marshmallows. Owner is friendly and will show you around. Can get a little chilly of an evening but the gas fire and heater were more than enough to keep us warm. Lovely hot shower. Comfy beds with extra blankets. Top tip would be to bring warm pyjamas, dressing gown and slippers. Didn't realise there was a TV so once we settled down for the night we could watch a movie. Will definitely be returning but next time will bring our own food. We brought a football for our 9 year old as there was plenty of outdoor space. He wanted to stay another night and really liked the place. Can't fault anything 10/10

Great place, have a stay and see for yourself.
2 bedroom cabin
Liked Had a great time with my 2 teenage boys, everything was good. Didn’t spend too much time in the cabin in the day as we were out and about in the day. The WiFi was good which they loved in the evening(as teenagers do) the cabin has everything you need, you just need to bring clothes, food & drink and some logs for the log burner saves having to nip out to shops and your done. Owner is a really nice guy and nothing is too much trouble.
Disliked None really but if I’m being very critical, this is nothing to do with the cabin or the owner’s fault. The dirt road down to the cabin has more pot holes than the moon! Totally took me by surprise and almost bottom my car out a couple of times. Doesn’t help that my car in a low riding coupe! Which is my problem but had I know it would’ve been that rough I’d have taken the wife’s car.
Again I’m being super critical here it’s a rustic cabin in the middle of nowhere how else are you supposed to get to it. Just a warning about the rough dirt road. Please don’t let this put you off it’s a great little getaway.

Excellent as a quiet ‘escape’. Plenty of space for children.
2 bedroom cabin
Liked The location of the cabin was secluded and quiet and relaxing. It is located in a large field which would be ideal for young children to play in - also plenty of space in the field for parking. There were cows in the adjacent field but far enough away not to be an issue. The cabin itself was easy to find and comfortable with all amenities including Wi-Fi. Shower was nice and hot and the shower room was the largest we had seen with plenty of room for changing. We were able to enjoy meals on the outside patio as well as a barbecue and fire brazier in the evening.

Liked Really enjoyed our stay at Nook Cabin. Very peaceful and rustic. Our dogs were very welcome and enjoyed the space to roam outside. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and we loved sitting out on the decking over looking the fields and cows. Brian our host showed us round initially and then left us to it which was perfect.
