  • Well-maintained site just off the A5 in rural Denbighshire
  • A 10-minute drive from Corwen or the edge of Snowdonia National Park
  • Half a mile from a café with hillside views
On the edge of Snowdonia National Park, Ty Cerrig Caravan and Camping is a homely North Wales site with stunning views over the Denbighshire countryside. This is a simple spot with a well-maintained toilet and shower block and generously-sized natural grass pitches. The outlook here is simply spectacular, with gorgeous views overlooking Foel Goch and the Berwyn Mountains. Ty Cerrig Caravan and Camping is located in a quiet location just off the speedy A5 road, meaning you're a mere 10 minutes' drive from the edge of Snowdonia National Park and all the amenities of Corwen town centre. For food, you're two miles down the road from a shop selling local produce and half a mile from a café that serves top-rated hot and cold food. Traditional camp dinners are also in the offing, as Ty Cerrig Caravan and Camping allows guests to set up barbecues in its grounds. Outdoor leisure activities are available in the local area, including go-karting at Glan Y Gors (five minutes) and watersports on the river Tryweryn at the National White Water Centre (15 minutes). The site also has direct access to the attractive Hiraethog Trail.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked Clean facilities, very friendly owners who made sure to check in with us right away and offered help, campers were very respectful and surprisingly quiet. The views around are stunning (including the starry sky at night! I live in a city so I have never seen so many!) and the facilities are very clean, tidy and easy to access. We surprisingly even had some phone signal! Cannot complain in the slightest. There are lots of interesting historical sites well within an hours drive from here, and amazing scenery in landscape just on the driveway.
The Wood and fire-pit rent was an extremely reasonable price too compared to others we have stayed at. Very happy!
Thank you guys for a great memorable trip! I highly recommend this site if you are looking.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked Warm friendly welcome from Dylan and Yvonne. Beautiful views. Immaculate facilities amongst the cleanest campsites that we've been to.
We were initially worried that the campsite is close to the main road, but you can hardly hear the cars at night.

Disliked Grass could be a bit shorter.

From the manager: We are both so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us, sorry if you found grass a bit long but unfortunately we haven’t had much rain and rather keep the grass as it is green and soft rather than it being ruined with the dry weather but do appreciate your point.
Hopefully see you with us again

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked Lovely campsite amazing views, easy to access, the owner was so lovely, gave us instructions on where to pitch up and then came around to check on us once we were all set up. Information and signage was very clear. Toilets and shower were so well maintained.
Dogs allowed and we had a fire pit with no issues at all. No noise other than the wildlife you can not hear the road at all there were literally no cars even on the hottest day of the year so far. We genuinely had such a good time it was exactly what we were looking for.
There’s a family area and an adult only area so no screaming kids (better for the dog) and the rubbish area was so easy to navigate.
So so happy we will definitely be back whenever we camp next x

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked Rural and picturesque setting. A very scenic field with lots of space, just off the A5, which was perfect for us. Hosts are lovely and make sure nothing is too much trouble. Showers are hot, powerful and clean. Close to GYG Karting. The host recommended a lovely little cafe down the road for breakfast. 8 of us stayed, all male in our 30's and had a great night.

Disliked Nothing.

Liked I really enjoyed my stay at this campsite! The location was peaceful and surrounded by nature, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked Last minute booking online really helped to make sure that we didn’t turn up and it was a fully booked campsite, also was great that we could pay online instead of getting cash out.

The campsite was in a great location, really friendly and lovely owners. Was perfect for us as a last minute stop off before travelling some more around beautiful Wales.

Local attractions

Here for a calm country break? Look out over heather-covered moorlands, peaceful woodlands and quiet lakes on the Hiraethog Trail, a scenic traffic-free walking route a few minutes' walk from site. Alternatively, take your angling gear down the road to try the waters at the Dragonfly Tea Rooms and Fishery, or head to Llyn Brenig (15 minutes), widely held to be one of the best trout fisheries in this part of the country. It's not all peace and quiet in this part of North Wales, though – you could also live life in the fast lane and go for a spin at Glan Y Gors go-karting (five minutes' drive) or hop from tree to tree at Zip World Fforest (20 minutes). Down the road, the National White Water Centre (15 minutes) has opportunities for high-adrenaline rafting on the river Tryweryn to try out too. For more days out, visit the lakeside town of Bala (20 minutes) and take a steam railway ride, head to Conwy's impressive castle (45 minutes) and go for walks by the beach, or head into the national park and explore Betws-y-Coed (20 minutes), a local shopping hub with bike hire, outdoor outlets and lots of good food options.
