A very sunny day in llandudno

  • Small site 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Llandudno
  • A 10-minute drive from Great Orme walks and Conwy Castle
  • Woodland walks nearby; shops and pubs 15 mins' walk through a park
Sea air, stacks of places to eat, scenic strolls and stunning Eryri (Snowdonia) a short drive away… lovely Llandudno’s a nifty location for a north Wales break. Excellently placed for all the above is Tan Yr Allt Hall, flanked by woodlands on the eastern edge of town and in an elevated position with views out towards the sea and over to the Great Orme. Footpaths run through the estate behind the hall: excellent news for those who need to stretch their legs after a long drive, or fancy seeking out a place to picnic. In the mood for something more substantial? A range of restaurants are in Llandudno’s centre, along with plenty of cafés, pubs and a sizeable supermarket – and it’ll only take you 20 minutes or so to meander down there. Take note – the nearest shops and pubs are 15 minutes' walk away through Queen's Park. A similar length of stroll will land you at one of the town’s two beaches; if it’s not paddling weather, the town’s also got golf, a skiing and snowboarding centre, and great walks on the Great Orme, plus shops in which to spend your pocket money.

What customers say

Awesome Llandudno views, short walk to town. Friendly owner, great spot for exploring. Basic 'aire' facilities (EHU, water) but pitches can be tight, narrow access. Uphill walk back. Worth it for the views and location though!

From the manager: Well turning up with additional friends and vehicles is not on, we were duly worried so we were not to obliging.

Power optional concrete slab motorhome site

Liked Absolutely loved the location, stunning. Good amenities for the location (water, electric, wifi, chemical waste).

Disliked Tight to get in the gate and to park in a larger motorhome (3m x 7m) but doable and worth it.

Liked Incredible place. Not crowded and everybody was polite and so helpful. This was our first touring trip and the owner helped us out so much and couldn't offer enough. The views were amazing and we opened up the back and watched the sunset. Would highly recommend this place

Local attractions

There’s no missing the Great Orme in Llandudno – the huge limestone headland towers over the town, and is a fab place to spend a few hours. Walk over the there in about half an hour (or drive in 10 minutes) for walks in the Great Orme Country Park, including hikes up the mini mountain if your muscles permit. If not, clamber on board the cable car or the tramway to be taken to the top for stunning sea views. Point your car south and 10 minutes’ drive will take you instead to mighty Conwy Castle, standing strong since the 13th century, or to the Welsh Mountain Zoo, for close encounters with rare beasties including snow leopards, gibbons and lemurs. Once you’ve warmed up with walks on the Great Orme, perhaps you’ll be ready to make your way up Snowdon, 45 minutes away (again, there’s a train to the top for those whose legs rebel against such antics). Heaps of other trails – both lung-busting and less demanding – await around Snowdonia National Park too (try Betws-y-Coed, half an hour away, as a good starting point).
