Sea air, stacks of places to eat, scenic strolls and stunning Eryri (Snowdonia) a short drive away… lovely Llandudno’s a nifty location for a north Wales break. Excellently placed for all the above is Tan Yr Allt Hall, flanked by woodlands on the eastern edge of town and in an elevated position with views out towards the sea and over to the Great Orme. Footpaths run through the estate behind the hall: excellent news for those who need to stretch their legs after a long drive, or fancy seeking out a place to picnic. In the mood for something more substantial? A range of restaurants are in Llandudno’s centre, along with plenty of cafés, pubs and a sizeable supermarket – and it’ll only take you 20 minutes or so to meander down there. Take note – the nearest shops and pubs are 15 minutes' walk away through Queen's Park. A similar length of stroll will land you at one of the town’s two beaches; if it’s not paddling weather, the town’s also got golf, a skiing and snowboarding centre, and great walks on the Great Orme, plus shops in which to spend your pocket money.

Mi è piaciuto The views and proximity to the bus stops although the return was a bit of a pull! However, you can’t have amazing views and be on a low level in Llandudno.

Non mi è piaciuto Pitches extremely close together, too short and children, presumably from the house accommodation playing around the van, throwing games and football.
Too expensive
Too difficult to park on the very rough ground
Too difficult to leave with the swing of the rear of the vehicle being so close to the next one.

Mi è piaciuto The view is truly amazing, and the owners were really helpful and informative.Theres access to water, and chemical waste. Good bus route into Llandudno itself

Non mi è piaciuto Not dislike so much, just not what expected .The pitches can be difficult to access ,it consists of approx 6 pitches, very close together, outside the Manor House itself .It could do with fences as its a long way down, if you misjudged your parking ! It's fine for an over night stay

Mi è piaciuto We have been to tan yralt Hall a few times love the scenery. The people in tan yrallt Hall were friendly and anything we needed we were told to knock their private door .

Mi è piaciuto Had a lovely three day stay. The site was ideally located near Llandudno ( about a 30 minute walk)
Water , electric and grey waste disposal on site. There are no toilet or shower facilities, so would be easier in a self contained van. But saying this there were campervans there who had no facilities, and they said they manged fine
The view from the pitch is beautiful, to wake up and gave your breakfast looking out on Llandudno is amazing
Buses from Llandudno to Conway, Rhyl and Bangor are frequent so can park up and leave van behind.

There’s no missing the Great Orme in Llandudno – the huge limestone headland towers over the town, and is a fab place to spend a few hours. Walk over the there in about half an hour (or drive in 10 minutes) for walks in the Great Orme Country Park, including hikes up the mini mountain if your muscles permit. If not, clamber on board the cable car or the tramway to be taken to the top for stunning sea views. Point your car south and 10 minutes’ drive will take you instead to mighty Conwy Castle, standing strong since the 13th century, or to the Welsh Mountain Zoo, for close encounters with rare beasties including snow leopards, gibbons and lemurs. Once you’ve warmed up with walks on the Great Orme, perhaps you’ll be ready to make your way up Snowdon, 45 minutes away (again, there’s a train to the top for those whose legs rebel against such antics). Heaps of other trails both lung-busting and less demanding await around Snowdonia National Park too (try Betws-y-Coed, half an hour away, as a good starting point), and there’s a rare chance to surf among mountain scenery at Surf Snowdonia, 20 minutes’ drive from the site.
