What customers say

Clean, friendly, well-kept site near Brecon Beacons. Spotless loos/showers, roomy pitches, helpful staff praised. Pub bonus for food/atmosphere. Mostly peaceful, some pub noise. Great value, highly recommended.

Liked Lovely little campsite. The lady on check in was very friendly and helpful. Toilets and showers are good, and kept very clean, nice little pub in front of the campsite. Would definitely stay again.

Unpowered grass caravan site

Liked Lovely location, 10 mins drive to the waterfalls (in a van) which is a great walk and explore.
Facilities were perfect.

Disliked Lots of groups of loud people. But that's to be expected over a bank holiday weekend. We had no major issues with this, but not a place for a 'quiet camp'

Powered grass tent site

Liked Lovely host and great facilities. In a brilliant location for seeing the beautiful sites of Wales.

Disliked The entrance to site has a gate but this remains unlocked and open so less secure. Other noisy guests.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked Lovely spacious pitches, quiet location with nearby river and waterfall walk which was very enjoyable.
Lady on site was very helpful and friendly.
Toilets and showers were never too busy.

Disliked Showers were occasionally lukewarm, this was more late evening but morning and early afternoon seemed to be ok.
There could be some cleaning equipment in the toilet/shower block so people could clean up after them selves.

Liked Level pitches, helpful friendly staff, clean toilets and showers. Small shop 5 mins walk. Lovely cafe 'Lle Tawr' 10 mins walk.

Food at pub expensive but worth it. Fully recommend the chilli burger and fries.

Lovely walk (dog friendly) from campsite to Henrhyd waterfall (not buggy friendly) as there is some scrambling over fallen trees. Or just pop down to the river for dog paddle.

Disliked Would be nice if the lights on awning by pub were turned off overnight so you could appreciate the dark skies/stars clearer but that's just nitpicking.

Local attractions

Hiking is a real highlight around here, whether you're keen to tick off the major sights or seek out quieter trails. Some of the popular spots nearby include Henrhyd Falls (10 minutes’ drive), the Four Waterfalls Walk (half an hour) and the trails taking you up South Wales’ tallest peak, Pen y Fan (half an hour). For more of an adrenaline rush, take yourselves to the all-weather trails of BikePark Wales (40 minutes) or ride the high-speed ziplines at Zip World Tower (20 minutes). All a bit too much? Settle for a quieter life with a visit to the National Showcaves Centre for Wales (five minutes), animal encounters at Wales Ape & Monkey Sanctuary (five minutes) or a tour and tipple at Penderyn Distillery (20 minutes). Change of scenery? Get down to the Gower Peninsula (around an hour) for beach days and coastal walks – places like Mumbles, Three Cliffs Bay and Rhossili are well worth the longer drive, and there are lots of lovely places to eat along the coast too.
