  • Peaceful family park surrounded by lochs, glens, mountains and forests
  • On the edge of the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park
  • Oak and bluebell wood, adventure playground and shop
What a Stirling stunner. Covering a whopping 40 acres of landscaped grounds, Trossachs Holiday Park is a peaceful family site on the edge of the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, surrounded by woodlands, mountains, lochs and glens. Outdoor activities are all around here; it's under half an hour's drive to castles, whisky tours and loch boat trips, and the nightlife and restaurants of Glasgow are under an hour away: truly, you could lodge yourself at Trossachs for months. Former guests have lauded the friendly welcome, stunning location and spotless and plentiful facilities at Trossachs as well as its proximity to outdoor pastimes: walking, cycling, mountain biking, birdwatching, nature photography, fishing and golf are all in the region. Even closer to home, an oak and bluebell wood is within the grounds of the site for woodland walks, nature trails and gentle bike rides. Trossachs is an award-winning park, with an environment carefully managed and maintained as a scenic setting and one friendly to local wildlife. There's an adventure playground for your own mini adventurers, and heaps of space all around for play and general letting off steam. A wifi café makes a handy indoor retreat for less clement days. The immaculate amenities include two family shower suites; a bathroom block with toilets, washbasins and hot showers; a washing-up area and a launderette. Dogs are made most welcome here, and there are plenty of dog-friendly walks around the local area.

Pheasant camping pod

Liked Very friendly welcome on arrival and helpful staff during the stay. Reception area has a small shop and coffee area. Stayed in Hare pod , touring and pods are set a fairly large square area with a kids play park in the middle. Not that busy during my stay. Facilities block , very clean , usual toilets, showers, pot wash, plenty of hot water. Grass areas in between pitches. Water tap close to pod. Nice views . Quite site. Outside picnic table next to pod. Pod was perfect for me and my trusty dog. Fixed double and single bed. Kitchen cupboard and worktop, very useful. Kettle, heater and fridge provided ( which I feel would be more user friendly if on a unit and not on the floor ). Bed was comfy. Good area of The Trossachs to stay and explore. Great bakery in Aberfoyle which was recommended by another guest. All round good stay.

Disliked Having to leave.

Would def go back and recommend to family and friends.

Fully-serviced gravel and concrete caravan site (maximum 6 metres)

Liked Lovely well maintained holiday park. Reception staff really friendly and helpful, as this was my first time camping solo was a bit nervous but had a lovely night and the other guests were lovely as well. Toilet and shower block was spotless. Weather too hot (27°) to go exploring but some lovely walks that I'd def try next time.

Disliked Electric hookup was a bit patchy but other people's did get fixed so might have been my cable. Didn't really miss it as only staying one night.

Had to pack up at 3am and leave due to rowdy guests

Disliked Touring pitches occupied by travelling community groups that party all throughout the night. Receptionist did not answer emergency phone calls to report behaviour.

Fully-serviced gravel and concrete caravan site (maximum 6 metres)

Liked Clean toilets, tap next to pitch for filling fresh water tank

Disliked This experience was mis-sold. We booked this because the forecast was for rain and the site claimed to have a games room. We even confirmed this with a salesman on the phone. However when we arrived we were told that the games room was closed for repair. Had we been told this before we booked we would have gone to a cheaper site

Hare camping pod

Liked The staff were super, accommodating me as I was a late arrival. The pod was in a great location, nestled in the corner of the field, and was really cosy. The park’s in a great location for getting out and about exploring.

Local attractions

A bluebell wood, nature trails and stunning scenery are right on site for leisurely days, and you can mountain bike over Duke's Pass or go fishing, bouldering and horse riding at Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park less than half a mile away. More fishing (for salmon, sea trout, brown and rainbow trout, pike, perch, roach, chub and dace) is at Loch Lomond two miles from Trossachs. For hikes, amble the short trails and stop off for lakeside picnics at the Three Loch forest drive, six miles from the site, or combine walks with wildlife with a pootle around Blair Drummond Safari Park within half an hour's drive. For a very Scottish flavour of break, have whisky tasting and a tour around Glengoyne Distillery, 10 minutes' drive away, take a tour of Stirling Castle and the National Wallace Monument (35 minutes) or take a boat trip to Inchmahome Priory on the Lake of Menteith, reachable within 10 minutes.
