Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Chilled, relaxed site with loads of space (not at all busy during the week in the summer holidays). Loved the location with incredible view. Felt very rural but well located for local sites and lovely pub. For a basic site, the toilet and shower facilities were excellent and the barn would have been great in rainy weather. Owners very friendly and helpful.
Disliked Nothing but just to note that the field is quite slopey so if it were busier, it might be a struggle to find a flattish pitch. It didn't bother us but the washing up area only has cold water. And the shower temperature was very tricky to control until we were given instructions (and then it was fine!).

Disliked Prices are per pitch - as a solo traveller it is less value for money than for families

The quiet location and private setting…
Shepherd's hut
Liked The quiet location and private setting
Disliked The shepherds hut hadn’t been cleaned between stays. Coffee granules on the floor, cigarette butts outside, rubbish and discarded tissue next to the hut. I cleaned the place when I arrived myself as it needed it. The mattress was also filthy and under the bed hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. A broom in the Shepherds Hut would help a lot.
The shower blocks really smelt like rotten eggs where the water has no proper run off.
The lights in the toilets had run out of batteries which was fine as I had a torch but one time I forgot my torch and couldn’t see a thing because the batteries hadn’t been changed.
