Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site

Liked The facilities were great - showers and toilets were clean and modern. Temperature and pressure of the shower was great. We had a hard standing pitch and it was good - electric and water hook up ideal. WiFi available to help entertain us all.
Cafe and shop was helpful and the play area to keep little ones occupied and burn off energy before driving away.

Disliked We found it quite noisy with vehicles/roaring moped engines in the night as we were backed up to the road. WiFi was spotty.

Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site

Liked Nice staff. The lady that took us to the pitch very nice

Disliked Noises campers. 5 different families in different tents a caravans that knew each other. Then all their friends turned up before you know it a load of drunken people making noise. Despite the security coming round later on the night and completely ignoring the noise. I went there thinking that I would have a quite break but that didn’t happen until these people left half way through our break. Far from the peaceful break we were promised.

Unpowered grass site

Liked Massive camping area. Close enough to Brean if wanting to walk.

Disliked We stayed in the non electric field which is fine but I feel like the toilets were really far away. Maybe temporary toilets can be put in place whilst the field isn’t being used by the cows. A lot of vehicles driving in and out throughout the night which was annoying, probably driving to the toilets lol

Unpowered grass site

Liked Staff - friendly welcome on arrival and friendly staff in the shop.

Well stocked shop at reasonable prices (watermelon slices were lovely!)

Attentive staff checking on site regularly.

Lovely views and river. Coastal path walk to beach from site.

Although large, busy site, no issues with noise at night.

Plenty of toilets and showers.

Good, clean washing up area.

Close to Weston Super Mare and lots of things to do nearby

Disliked Although the facilities were kept mostly clean and tidy, finding a clean toilet was sometimes hit or miss but this wasn't down to the cleaners. The flushes weren't the best meaning tissues and other delights were often left down, also there was usually rolls of paper left on top of the bin which would fall off or encourage people to use more which I think was getting wasted.

With the site being so large I think some toilets and washing up facilities down the bottom field would be welcomed as was quite a trek, carrying dishes or going in the dark but we did chose a pitch furthest away so expected this.

Struggled to get WiFi at all during the stay but not essential enough for us to pay for it

Local attractions

Brean Down is one of the Diamond Farm team's fave views from the site: have a day here for wildlife watching and hiking among spectacular scenery, before descending to the beach and café at the bottom of the Down. Bring your camera too, as the views here are stellar, over the Somerset Levels as well as over the Bristol Channel to south Wales. Also recommended by the team is Brean Leisure Park (five minutes' drive or about 35 minutes' walk), one of the largest funfairs in the south-west and home to rides, rollercoasters and the Brean Splash waterpark on a 200-acre setting. Even closer to home at a mile from the site is the Animal Farm Adventure Park, with a play barn, slides, ball pools and a menagerie of goats, donkeys and llamas and other furry critters to see. Beach buffs can drive along to the sands, pier and helicopter museum of Weston-super-Mare (25 minutes' drive to the north) or Burnham-on-Sea (15 minutes south), for wide open sands, several lighthouses and access to the Somerset Levels. Then set off for days out at Cheddar Gorge (35 minutes), Glastonbury (45 minutes), the Wookey Hole Caves (50 minutes) and the small city of Wells, 55 minutes away.
