From the manager: Im sorry you found the old heater was not plugged in the but the new one next to the hand dryer is set to 12deg. Also as we are an adult only site the 2 stars review for child friendliness I don’t understand. The new showers are having heaters fitted next week sorry they were not fitted in time for your stay.
Great site with clean facilities and friendly staff.

Liked: Well laid out site for touring pitches with ample space between pitches. Perfectly peaceful with a good view of the lake from all pitches. Nice little walk that had been freshly mowed around the lake and bottom field where a little stream meanders.
Small spar shop within a 10 min walk and not much further to the local pub.
Clean facilities on site, good phone and tv signals also. Level hard standing pitches.

Liked: We like visiting small, adult only sites out of season for the peace and quiet. Redlands Breaks is in a beautiful setting with space to unwind. There are five hard standing pitches, all with electric hookup but we were the only van there. It is also ideally positioned to visit the market town of Sturminster Newton, where there are many coffee shops.
Disliked: We walked into Hazelbury Bryan to get something to eat from the Antelope Pub but the kitchen was closed. We popped into the Red Barn Spar Shop and Post Office on the way back to the site. They have a wide range of food to purchase but in the end we opted to drive 5mins back to Kings Stag for an excellent meal at The Green Man.
