Great spot, close to Wareham for exploring Purbeck. Toilets & showers are top-notch – clean, modern, hot water. Owners are friendly, site's quiet with good space. Starry nights! A bit of road noise & some slopes, but fire pits available.

Disliked Nothing I can think of.

Lovely little site for those simply wanting a quiet place to pitch!
Unpowered grass caravan site
Liked Spacious pitches, though it was very quiet when I was there (late March) with only 2 other campers present so possible that it might feel different in peak season. Lovely little individual shower huts, and showers were lovely and warm.
Both shower and toilet huts were really clean, and the site is a great location for exploring the various wildlife spots around the area e.g. RSPB Arne, Hartland Moor, Stoborough Heath etc al.
Phil popped round to meet and greet too, which was lovely.
Disliked Not an issue for me as I'm only 5'8 and slim but the toilet huts are pretty compact so I can imagine those of a larger persuasion may struggle with their morning ablutions!

From the manager: Glad you enjoyed staying at Frome View, Arne nature reserve is a very popular destination for our campers, and is a very short drive from the campsite or why not cycle! We always enjoy hearing what wildlife campers have spotted 🐦 🦌 look forward to you visiting again 😀

Unpowered grass caravan site
Liked A nice site situated in a place good for walking. It was only a short walk in to Wareham along the river. There were 2 showers and 2 toilets, and they were very pleasant, clean and tidy. There were a number of benches and places for fires. Overall I was very pleased.

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Very little light pollution so you can see lots of stars.
The shower and toilet facilities are very good with hot water and they seemed to be cleaned daily.
Several fresh drinking water points in the field.
It was very close to Wareham and the river so great for walks and everything you need is nearby.
Disliked Not enough toilets for a campsite when busy (only 2) and it isn't clear when they are occupied. The road can be noisy as it runs next to the field. Poor communication from hosts as I emailed several weeks beforehand and received no response. Also told there were no fires allowed after we'd bought supplies with us, this should have been communicated to all guests beforehand.
The lock on the gate can be a bit tricky.
Most of the field is sloped.
