What customers say
A roomy, welcoming, well-placed spot for a simple getaway. Clean facilities, choice of pitches, and stunning views, especially the steam train! Generally peaceful, though some note bird/neighbour noise. Showers cost 20p (prevents queues, but some find it a faff). Pitches can be sloped; bins/hot water occasionally iffy, but managers usually sort it. Great value, many'd return.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked We stayed for 3 nights as a family and had a great time. The location is excellent — exactly what we were looking for with its wild camping feel and beautiful views. The facilities are basic (just simple showers, and toilets), but everything was clean and perfectly adequate. The customer service was excellent and very helpful. Overall, it was simple but really good — we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
We will come again!
Highly recommended for families who want a peaceful, no-frills camping experience in a stunning spot.
