What customers say
A top-notch, peaceful woodland spot for a quiet getaway. Reviewers loved the spotless facilities (great showers!) and the welcoming, helpful staff. It’s a beautiful natural setting with fishing, walks, and private, roomy pitches. Some pitches are a bit sloped, but most found it a perfect, well-equipped place for a chill break.

Liked Very relaxing and quiet place. Big space for camping in the no electricity area.

Meadow unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked We loved how family friendly it felt, we visited without the kids and spent the entire time musing about how perfect it would be to bring the kids back. The toilet and shower blocks were set up really well for families and there was a little wash up area that also had a fridge and freezer for public use which is a god send with kids! The shade in the main site was really good too, we stayed over the heatwave bank May holiday weekend and we found lots of shade and weren’t over hot. We were staying in the meadow field as the main site was full and we still had great facilities, lots of bins, a water tap, and a porta-loo so still felt very connected. The main site was a very short walk away if we wanted the main facilities. Thank you for a lovely stay, we will be back!

Liked Lovely and quiet, beautiful location, fab dog walk, friendly staff. Free fishing if needed. Great hot, free showers. Excellent WiFi for a small fee.
Disliked Didn't look like the toilet block was cleaned on a daily basis but there were only a couple of us staying at the time so probably thought it wasn't necessary.

From the manager: Thank you for your comments. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Just to clarify, both our toilets blocks are cleaned at least once each day, even during quiet periods.
Really pleasant site that we would definitely use again.
Powered concrete slab caravan site
Liked Very peaceful and Quiet. Friendly staff all the facilities you could need. Internet service was good (once you paid £1.50 per day)
Disliked The shower was only Luke warm and not hot.. Mobile signal was bad (not the sites fault) Public footpath running through site made it a little insecure.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for your review and lovely photos. The showers should always have plenty of hot water as they are either electric or instant gas heated. We welcome any issues to be reported to reception at the time, so we can resolve them ASAP. In regards to the public footpath, this is very quiet route, providing great opportunities for adventuring straight from the site.

Liked Fabulous site with 2 lakes abd woodland walk. I was in my camper van with electric. The Woodland pitches for tents were great and some had views of the lake.
Good facilities and hot shower! I liked the fact that you have a room; shower, toilet and basin - great for families I'm sure.
Friendly owners and staff.
Peace and quiet- hooray! No road noise.
Small shop and very cute puppy! Communal fire area.
Photographic directions were very helpful.
It was raining so i bought Wifi- it was £1.50 for 24 hours for 1 device but varying other choices available and it was very good.
