What customers say
A peaceful, tidy park with roomy spots. Staff are a hit, and it’s handy for St Ives. Showers and loos get mixed feedback – some clean, others dated/grubby. Shop/cafe often shut. Walking to St Ives is tricky and risky due to traffic.

Powered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site (large)
Liked Location was brilliant. Campsite was clean and very well organised. Shower and toilet facilities were excellent.
Disliked There was an unruly group that were partying late. There was an altercation and the police were called and it kept us awake until very late. It was a group of young people. Not the campsites fault, but there never seemed to be any staff on site when we stayed, and I feel that if their had been more the situation would’ve been less intense and out of hand.

Disliked Felt a little bit rundown in parts, showers okay? Toilets okay, no shop.

Size of pitches , very quiet…
Unpowered grass site (large)
Liked Size of pitches , very quiet and chilled , showers were okish , loved the idea of the barrier been locked on a night definitely felt safe 👍was told it could be opened in emergencies but not told who to contact … 🤷♀️ will we be going back? That’ll be a NO..
Disliked Bins overflowing and stun.. maybe bin men were due 🤷♀️ couldn’t even tell you the name of the girl who checked us in as reception was never open . The shop was none existent as was the bar … the site could be so pretty if only they could be bothered to spend a little time on the flower beds. The park for the kids is kind of well equipped but full of stinging nettles again just needed a bit of TLC . The Elson point had no sanitiser 🤮 Not as close to St Ives as stated and very dangerous to even try and walk with narrow roads, cost us £25 return in a taxi 🚕which was ok I suppose I asked about buses her reply “no idea 🤷♀️” all in all a very quiet site that could be so much better with a bit of TLC … such a shame …..

Liked Spotless and beautifully laid out campsite. Huge pitches. Beautifully quiet. Perfect spot just outside St ives. Numberplate recognition to enter site so very safe. Powerful and hot showers. Definately recomend. We will be coming back.
Disliked Would be nice to have a plug or two in the ladies for straighteners.

Liked Very clean site, quiet, well situated.
Disliked I am in mixed feelings over the barrier being closed/locked from 23:30 - 07:00 I totally understand it for safety measures and it is great knowing the site is locked overnight. But it means you have to make sure you are back at the site before 23:30. Although the family next to us thought it would be appropriate for them to brake the barrier to get out after 23:30 which was totally not acceptable.

Not in st Ives, tired and run down.
Unpowered grass site (large)
Liked Flat pitch, quiet spot, grassy fields where you camp are spacious and a nice area to spend time in.
Disliked 3 miles from the front of st ives, with at least a 2 mile walk on very busy windy roads with no paths. Very narrow road (even by Cornish standards) meaning van got scratched each time we had to drive along, and due to the location you do need to drive it's not a site you can safely walk anywhere from. Site is very much run down and past it's best, toilet blocks very dates, showers are a trickle, reception unstaffed, shop and bar permanently closed. Shame really as with some money spent it could be a great site, although they need to stop advertising it as near st Ives as it's such a dangerous walk in.

A site on the way down rather than on the way up!

Unpowered grass site (large)
Liked Great spacious pitches. All the kids on the site loved the park. Easy check in. Perfect location for getting to anywhere in Cornwall.
Disliked Quite a few spiked thistles on the grassy bit in the park which put me on edge abit but kids learned to avoid them

Small quiet campsite…
Powered grass site
Liked Small quiet campsite
Disliked No one on reception had to ring and wait for them to turn up to check in, asked for information to get into st ives bus or cycle route was told to google it, we had to pay £10 each way for a taxi as to dangerous to walk even to the bus stop and that was the last we seen her tried to contact her again in the evening said she was off site and would contact us in the morning never did. We were in a motorhome and was put on a slop it was a nightmare getting to the campsite as down a very narrow lane which only just fit the motorhome down but scratched all the sides with the brambles,
