  • Scenic and award-winning site filled with flowers
  • Two lakes for coarse fishing plus nature reserve
  • Heated pool, crazy golf, playgrounds, games room and licensed shop
This fabulously floral site has been giving a warm welcome for more than 50 years. The grounds are blooming lovely – even the fishing lakes are filled with lilies – and it’s easy to see why Trevella Holiday Park is a regular winner of the Newquay in Bloom contest, and why so many people come back here every summer. Little buds can shoot around the heated outdoor pool, paddling pool, crazy golf, games room and playgrounds for different ages. There’s free coarse fishing in the two lakes and a pretty nature reserve to explore and a licensed shop. The roomy pitches sit within handsome parkland and the high-quality amenities include family bathrooms, baby changing and a laundry room.

What customers say

Great spot, tidy grounds, friendly staff. Close to beaches, Newquay. Spacious pitches, good loos, on-site pub & shop. Peaceful for most, though some found noise/dated facilities. Pool booking needs work. Many would come back.

Liked The park is so lovely. It's a beautiful setting with lovely cared for grounds. The staff are incredibly friendly and will help you with whatever you need. The pitches are spacious and they have a lovely outdoor swimming pool which was never too crowded. We had a lovely stay and will definitely be returning in the near future.

Disliked The food van, whilst a really useful facility on the park, took quite a while with orders. It could possibly do with more staff as Nd to be open for longer. Also, the toilet/shower facilities are a little tired looking. They're clean and work perfectly well, but they could do with an update.

Liked Location is brilliant only a short drive to Crantock and Newquay and supermarkets very close also. Pretty looking site with lots of flowers and the grounds were well kept. The pool was great you had to be organised and book your hour slot but this wasn’t a problem and meant that the pool was quiet when you went.
Pitches were really big we were worried our 6 man air tent wouldn’t fit according to the advertised pitch size but there was plenty of space the only downside being that the pitches towards the bottom of the hill were on quite a slope.
Water points close by and only a short walk to the toilet/shower block. Never had to queue to use the showers.
Play park next to the camping pitches great for the kids to make friends and play of an evening.

Disliked We booked our stay in 2 bookings as we were unable to book 2 pitches on one booking I rang up straight away to ask that the pitches could be next to one another as we were holidaying with family, we weren’t given any guarantees … understandable. We were allocated pitches quite some distance from each other but there were multiple pitches free around each of them so I went to reception to politely ask if we could switch and were told unfortunately that was the closest they could get us to each other. We accepted this no guarantees but then felt a bit frustrated to look at an empty pitch opposite us for 5 days.
The facilities were okay the showers could really do with some improvement the push button gave less than ten seconds of water and although there were signs to warn you that the temperature may vary this was really difficult with young kids given that most of the showers we took were on the hot side for an adult this was in both the women’s and family showers.
Our first night on site was a Saturday and unfortunately there were people who stayed up until 3am being incredibly loud. Luckily they left the next day so wasn’t an ongoing issue. In general however there weren’t many people who followed camping etiquette of quiet times not the fault of the site just something to be aware of.
Dog friendly site again not fault of the site but something to be aware of .. not all dog owners pick up their poo apparently. Kids playing cricket on the green only to find they’d been running through dog poo. Also seen poo on the grassy verges and on the roads around site. Perhaps some signs to remind dog owners to pick up after themselves?

Liked Camping pods worked perfectly for us, as a family of 4. Lovely campsite with well maintained grass and gardens. A few play parks dotted around and the pool was great.

Disliked Very early closing time of the pool (5pm) and kept missing out on the pool due to having to book an hour slot in advance, which can only be done on the day at reception (despite it never being busy).

Liked Very helpful staff and good amenities. Upon arrival found our grass pitch to be on quite a slope but after speaking to the reception team were switched to a level hardstanding pitch. Fishing lakes were excellent and very well maintained

Local attractions

A quick meander along the verdant country lanes and pathways around Trevella can lead in various directions: a historic smugglers’ inn, a beach, Crantock’s thatched cottages and pretty village church, or to the Gannel estuary to fish, paddle, birdwatch or make the short hop on the ferry to Newquay. The latter probably needs no introduction, but on top of its famous beaches, it has a zoo, aquarium, farm park, boating lake and miniature railway – plus swimming pools (with flumes) and golf courses. This being Cornwall, visitors will find no shortage of ace attractions less than an hour away. Recommendations include losing oneself in the gardens at Heligan, taking in an atmospheric show at the open-air Minack Theatre, on the cliffs overlooking the sea; heading into the Eden Project’s massive crater, to examine the exotic flora in the jaw-dropping megadomes; and some painterly perusal at the Tate Gallery in St Ives. Then there are adventure parks, National Trust properties and open gardens galore; plus a lively programme of local land- and sea-based events, from festivals to carnivals, and regattas to traditional Cornish gig racing.
