What customers say

Friendly staff, clean facilities, well-stocked shop/cafe. Pitches spacious & well-kept. Quiet atmosphere, good local access. Minor gripes: no direct dog walks, some facilities tired/limited in peak season. Mostly positive, many keen to return.

Powered grass and gravel motorhome site (no awning)

Liked Very friendly and welcoming staff. Lots of facilities for your stay; 2 toilet blocks, washing up area, washing machine and tumble dryer. (If needed) All clean and in great working order.
View to the sea on two aspects.
Camping shop, farm shop and cafe at entrance.
Fairly small site, cleverly arranged down a short sloping site, to maximise pitches.

Disliked No walking access from site to any paths towards the coast or walking access to dog walk area off site or on site.

Liked Lovely site in a great location, close to some beautiful beaches and Bude town centre, and easy to access.

The site is generally quiet and really well kept with decent sized pitches and easy access to water points and electricity hookups.

The shower facilities were excellent - hot water with good power, kept really clean and tidy, no queues even in peak holiday season plus lots of space and hooks which really helps with young children! The toilets were also really clean and tidy with loo roll and soap provided, which helps.

The staff are all very friendly, professional and helpful.

The shop is really well stocked with groceries and there is even a really decent camping shop for all the essentials your bound to forget to pack, it's all quite reasonably priced too.

We didn't actually use the cafe but it looked really lovely. We did have to takeaway fish and chips which was world class with lovely fresh flakey fish in light crispy batter and beautifully crispy chips.

Disliked It's really hard to think of anything, it was such a beautiful site. One small point is that some pitches have a slight incline, it didn't bother us but some might not like it, I'm sure if you requested a level pitch the helpful staff would do they're best to accommodate you.

Local attractions

You could spend your entire hol on the sands and in the sea if you were so inclined: the long bay and miles of sand of Widemouth Bay are three miles away from Cornish Coasts for surfing, rockpooling or stretching out on golden sand; Bude is five miles away, and Summerleaze, Sandymouth, Crackington Haven and Crooklets are within 10 to 15 minutes’ drive. If you’re new to the surf, this area has a good handful of surf schools to show you the ropes; if you prefer to stay on land, the South West Coast Path runs alongside Poundstock, the village nearest to Cornish Coasts. Going along the coast towards Newquay, the medieval fishing village of Boscastle, eight miles from Cornish Coasts, is a popular tourist spot, probably best known for its handsome harbour and National Trust visitor centre in its old ‘pilchard palace'. Also the stuff of legends, Tintagel and its King Arthur associations are three miles along the coast from Boscastle: climb up to Tintagel Castle high on the coast for tales of Arthur and some seriously stunning views across the water (you should be able to see Lundy Island from here too). Going into Devon, take the kids to new heights at the Milky Way Adventure Park in Bideford; the town is also where you can catch the ferry to lovely Lundy Island.
