What customers say
A welcoming, secure, and scenic spot for families and dogs, with animal antics to delight kids. Guests praise the level pitches, obliging owners, and eco-conscious vibe. Downsides include compost loos and showers needing a spruce-up; some find them basic or untidy. Animal noise also mentioned.

Liked Unfortunately, I can't think of any positive comments.
Disliked I wouldn't call Hoad Meadow a campsite—it's more like a scout camp. The site is untidy and poorly maintained, with a generally chaotic appearance. We didn't dare use the toilets or showers. We were glad we only had to stay for one night.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
I'm very sorry to hear that Hoad Meadow wasn't the experience you were hoping for. We appreciate all feedback, even when it's difficult to read, as it helps us identify where we need to improve.
We're disappointed that you felt the site wasn't presented to the standard you expected. We are a small, family-run rural campsite and are continually investing in improving both the site and its facilities. Cleanliness is something we take seriously, so we're particularly sorry to hear that you didn't feel comfortable using the toilets and showers.
We wish you all the best with your future travels and thank you again for your feedback.
