What customers say
A friendly, family farm site. Loved for its animals & safe play areas. Nice views, flat pitches & eco-friendly focus (recycling, compost loos). Toilets/showers basic, some mixed comments on cleanliness. Convenient location.

Other than the weather we had a lovely time at the site itself
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked We liked the fact that the pitches were enclosed so we knew boundary lines, liked the ease of booking, and the gate code/ links to buy things on site etc was all so very easy.
Loved The animals onsite.
Once staff had been emailed about the loud music, they asked for it to be turned down which they did so that was nice.
Disliked Not so much disliked, but two toilets to 20 pitches was a little pain in the mornings but other wise fine.
The hedge line above the tents needs cutting back straight as the overhang needs reducing. And a sign saying what time quiet time is.

I would return and recommend.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked The campsite is small which made it feel more comfortable and friendly and the owner was always around making sure everything was ok.
The site is secure by a closed gate and cameras which felt safe.
Noise was down by 10pm which was really good, and the owners kept on top of the cleaning.
The location was ideal.
Wifi available free.
Disliked Not a dislike as such, but a suggestion - i would of preferred a door on the male urinal for privacy, as they are mixed toilets.
A bigger bathroom sink.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We’re glad you enjoyed seeing the animals.
We’re sorry you were disappointed that you couldn’t touch or feed them, but this rule is there for the welfare and safety of both our animals and our guests. We have pigs, alpacas, goats and other animals, and unfortunately we cannot allow every visitor to feed or handle them. Giving animals the wrong food, or too much food, can make them seriously ill, and some animals can also be unpredictable around children.
The parking area is separate from the camping field and is intended to keep vehicles away from the pitches as much as possible. We appreciate it may feel smaller when the campsite is busy.
We want everyone to enjoy seeing the animals, but their welfare and our guests’ safety will always come first

Liked The campsite was excellent perfect for our first time camping as a family. They had clean showers and toilets and the staff were really friendly. With an excellent touch of animals for the children to see and the duck pond in the middle. All in all we had an excellent time

Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Nice campsite, lovely to see the alpacas, pigs, goats etc etc..
Disliked Shared toilets, there is no place for shared toilets in this day and age...Also NO HOT WATER to either outlets at the wash up are or showers..No wash hand basins for shaving..

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We’re pleased you enjoyed the campsite and seeing the alpacas, pigs, goats and other animals.
We are, however, disappointed by some of the comments made.
Regarding the hot water, you raised the shower temperature with us during your stay and we adjusted it for you at the time. We deliberately do not set the shower water excessively hot because this is a family campsite used by young children, and we have to consider the risk of scalding. The showers do have hot water and the temperature is controlled for safety.
Regarding the toilets, our facilities are individual, enclosed toilet cubicles. They are available for use by all guests. We appreciate that some people may personally prefer separate male and female facilities, but describing individual unisex toilets as having “no place in this day and age” is a matter of personal preference rather than an indication that there is something wrong with the facilities.
We were also particularly disappointed to receive this review given that during your stay a broom belonging to the campsite was taken, and we had to approach you to have it returned.
We are always happy to receive genuine constructive criticism and will act on issues when they are brought to our attention, as we did when you asked about the shower temperature. However, we also feel it is important that reviews give future guests a fair and accurate picture of the facilities and what actually happened during a stay.
