What customers say
Peaceful, back-to-basics camping loved by guests, with super-friendly hosts. Great views, stargazing, and a clean site. Facilities are basic but clean. Some found toilets/showers limited and ground uneven. Cat sanctuary & host's dog a hit. Water issue sorted fast.

Unpowered grass and earth tent or trailer tent site
Liked it was a great location, with a great host. Me and the family had a great stay, with loads of space to play. during our stay there was a problem with the water, but the host made sure that everyone had plenty of water, by regally bringing it round to everyone staying there. Jayne and her family were great, we couldn't ask for a better host. we are looking forward to our next trip there soon.

Unpowered grass and earth tent or trailer tent site
Liked Really nice little campsite at an affordable price. Staff were lovey and friendly, decent ground with only a gentle slope (with thoughtful tent orientation we didn’t notice this at all while sleeping) and the fire pit hire was an enjoyable bonus- Loved looking out at everyone’s camp fires in the evening. If you like simple camping, this is a great place to stay. Nice and dark at night so easy to see the stars. Plenty of open space for the kids to play games. Toilets are composting but well maintained and as the site has limited pitches, we didn’t struggle with queuing. No hot water at the sinks for washing up but this was easily overcome by heating some water on the stove. Great communication from the site as well in advance of arrival for the protocol for checking in. Corner shop a couple of minutes away and a bigger supermarket a 15minutes drive. Would go back for another camp!
Disliked The shower on site is a portable one. We would have preferred a proper fixed shower, even if it was basic/open with just a wooden surround or something. It was just a short visit but would have been a downside for a longer stay. Some may not be so bothered!
Toilet could benefit from an opening window but we stayed when it was 36*C so in cooler weather would not have got so hot in there!

Overall a very nice site
Unpowered grass and earth tent or trailer tent site
Liked The hosts were amazing and incredibly friendly. The facilities whilst basic were well kept and clean. There was a shop with basics like milk and eggs. Mabe a more variety of items would be good and mabe an honesty shop approach.
Disliked There wasnt much information on the site. Mabe an info sheet might be good for when people arrive. Gate code, local foot paths etc.

The Four Top 1 bedroom bell tent
Liked Very welcoming hosts who are keen campers themselves and you can tell by the thoughtfulness put into the campsite. We hired one of the bell tents and it was comfortable, spacious, and very clean. It exceeded expectations! The shared kitchen area was also very well resourced.
