What customers say

Top spot! Clean, spacious, with a great pool & friendly staff. Lots for kids, shop & near the beach. Wi-Fi spotty, roads tricky for big rigs. Many keen to return.

Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site

Liked Toilets and showers were clean.
Friendly staff
The food tasted nice.

Disliked This is only how we feel when we stayed.
Prices of the food was very expensive.
Site map showed walks, but when we whent on the walks, there was no signs helping to follow the route.
For the price we paid for 2 nights ,- we expected more.

Travelling to and from the site on narrow roads was not enjoyable.

Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site

Liked Great facilities, lovely area, amazing walks and views. Toilets and showers are second to none!!

Disliked Such a shame dogs aren't allowed inside the bar/restaurant area. With a family of 2 adults and 1 child and 1 dog we needed to split our time inside. Still a gorgeous place

Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site

Liked Very enjoyable stay, shower and toilet facilities kept very clean. Our daughter loved the indoor swimming pool. Bar is nice and clean. The site is very clean and tidy. Will definitely return.

Disliked Toilet blocks were too far apart and the roads leading upto the site are very narrow for towing a caravan.

Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site

Liked Pitches are generally on the large side with services. Clean and weed free. Amenities are generally very good
Peaceful and relaxing.

Disliked Pitches are not available to book by plot number and not given to prior to arrival. It would have made things a lot easier if they were. Arriving later than planned due to motorway closure trying to find the one pitch left, in the dark is not a way to start a relaxing break.

Local attractions

If you’re keen to stay local, the nearest Morecambe Bay beach is Silverdale Cove (15 minutes’ stroll, be sure to check tide times), while the rural village of Silverdale has a scattering of shops and eateries, including a pub and an Indian takeaway. Further afield, you have the choice of two national parks and a national landscape to explore. Introduce the kids to tales of Peter Rabbit with a visit to The World of Beatrix Potter at Windermere (35 minutes), or watch cute otters playing in water at The Lakes Aquarium (also 35 minutes), both in the Lake District National Park. Turn east for the Yorkshire Dales National Park and a trek up to dramatic Cautley Spout waterfall (50 minutes) or a browse around the shops in the pretty market town of Sedbergh (45 minutes). And to complete the triumvirate, you can head for the Forest of Bowland National Landscape for endless hiking opportunities on moorland around Gisburn Forest (an hour).
