Ashton Hall
Stunning views
Generously sized pitches with hardstanding and grassed areas
Peaceful and sheltered countryside setting

  • Peaceful and spacious wildlife haven in the smart Ashton Hall Estate
  • Lancaster city and the Forest of Bowland both within six miles
  • An 11-hole seaview golf course, woodland walks and fishing in the Lune
Rock up here for a restful retreat among the comely grounds of Ashton Hall Caravan Park… Within Ashton Hall’s extensive estate are an 11-hole golf course with spectacular seaward vista, as well as a garden centre and café, all bordered by ancient woodlands and the River Lune, and direct access to the Lancashire Coastal Way and the Lune Estuary Footpath. Your holiday days will surely fill up quickly with all there is to do around the locale too – if you manage to tear yourself away from the site, that is – as the Forest of Bowland, the Lune Estuary and Lancaster city are all within six miles. On site, there's loads of room to wander around the grounds or in the adjoining forest for woodland walking routes, nature trails and cycle paths, many of which will take you from the site directly to the banks of the River Lune. On top of all this, the site takes pride in its sparklingly clean unisex toilet and shower facilities in a modern stone-built bathroom block with underfloor heating. The building includes an accessible bathroom/ family facility, a vanity area with washbasins, big mirrors and a hairdryer, a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers, and a covered washing-up area – like the site itself, the amenities block is safely secure and accessed via a secure key code. A local pub and restaurant lies within a mile of the estate, and Lancaster is three miles away.

What customers say

A peaceful, adults-only gem, praised for spotless, modern facilities, roomy pitches, and stunning rural views alive with wildlife. Excellent for walkers and cyclists, with nearby pubs and golf. A tranquil escape, though road access and Wi-Fi could be better. Many plan to return.

Seafield fully-serviced concrete and grass caravan site

Liked Wide open space with lovely countryside views. Lancaster only 4 mls away. On a bus route. Next to public golf course & garden centre.

Disliked Site shockingly badly lit at night. The only light came from.the shower block. No light at the entrance barrier. The long track leading to the site also no lights.
The site details mentions bus direct from the site. We had to walk a mile to nearest bus stop. Last bus from Lancaster 7.30pm.
Rate quite expensive for what is a basic site with few facilities. We have paid less for a central lakes location or a site with bells & whistles. We may stay again mainly because of distance to Lancaster. Probably not in the winter though.

Lune fully-serviced concrete and grass caravan site

Liked We booked quite late but there was a wry polite and helpful man who answered the phone to help us. He sorted out a pitch for us super-fast and gave us immediate access to the facilities. All the pitches are hard-standing with electric and water hook-up and the w/c and shower facilities are all very clean and well-kept and warm with hot showers.
