  • Adults-only South Yorkshire park 20 minutes’ drive from Doncaster
  • Yorkshire Wildlife Park and The Vulcan Experience 10 minutes’ drive
  • Farm shop and café; dedicated dog park and seven-lake coarse fishery
Set in peaceful rural surroundings on the border of South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, Bank End Waters is an adults-only touring caravan and leisure park with 90 acres of private grounds. It’s 20 minutes’ drive east of Doncaster, with fully serviced pitches on level hardstanding and grass, and there’s an accessible shower block with loos and a washing machine. Handy on-site facilities include a farm shop selling locally reared meats and poultry, homebaked pies, quiches and pasties (saves you doing the cooking) as well as an assortment of fruit, veg and salads. All the food in the café is homemade, and if you want to eat à deux back at your pitch, there’s a takeaway service as well. The site welcomes dogs, and they even have their own, fully secure designated exercise field – just please clean up after your hounds (there’s a bin by the gate for that very purpose). It’s also home to an established fishery with seven well-stocked coarse fishing lakes and a tackle shop for all your angling needs. You can buy day tickets there too.

What customers say

Top spot for adults! Spacious pitches, spotless facilities, lovely lake views. Owner David's a legend. Great farm shop/cafe, dog-friendly too. Watch for pitch levelling & WiFi woes.

Liked Absolutely fantastic site, clean and tidy, well looked after site. Very friendly owners. The property has various fishing ponds that you walk around and the site is just a short trip from a near by village. Fantastic farm shop.

Disliked My biggest and only dislike is the fact that I had to come home.

Fully-serviced gravel and concrete caravan site

Liked we absolutely loved this site. We only had a two nights stay Friday to Sunday, but it was absolutely gorgeous and seemed like a lot longer. There was no shortage of options for working our dogs. The pitches were level and very large. There was a five meter grass area behind each pitch was out which was ideal for our dogs to be tethered but have some freedom as well.

The facilities were spotless and clean and the showers were lovely and hot. The on-site farm shop was very handy. We got breakfast sandwiches one morning and a beautiful homemade Victoria sponge cake as well as a couple of treats to keep in our caravan.

On arrival we were met and escorted to our pitch then received a text message later that afternoon from a number to contact if we had any queries or needs. There were quite a few seasonal pitches already taken and we can certainly see why. We have inquired about a seasonal pitch ourselves since coming home.

There is a fantastic dog park on site, which is one of the reasons why we booked this when dogs are teed all the time you are away they need some off lead time to burn up some extra energy

The site was very peaceful and picturesque.

A lot of the areas on the site looked to be newly completed and the facilities are very modern We really didn’t want to come home!! 😕

Disliked Nothing at all 👌🏻

Fully-serviced gravel and concrete caravan site

Liked Very peaceful site that is just bedding in as it is still new. The staff really make this place, from the owner to the shop staff all are pleasant, friendly & helpful. Plenty of fishing options discounted for site users. Lovely cafe, service is a bit slow but good local food and again a discount for site users. There's also a shop selling local produce, pies, fresh & cooked meats. Would we return? ABSOLUTELY and will be booking soon!!

Disliked Not dislikes exactly, just a need to knows....The hard standing 'gravel' is a bit vicious, with big lumps of brick & concrete which will eventually break down but for now you do need decent soles to walk on it AND rock pegs for your awning. Also, No WiFi currently as they are having connection problems

Local attractions

Fans of vintage aircraft can have a field day when staying at Bank End Waters. Book in ahead of time to tour the cockpit and fuselage of a jet fighter at The Vulcan Experience (10 minutes’ drive), or check out the Harrier jump jets, military helicopters and World War II Blitz exhibits at interactive South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum (20 minutes). If you fancy getting up close to capybaras and lemurs, Yorkshire Wildlife Park (10 minutes) is the place for you; you can also take walk-through safaris of enclosures where lions, cheetahs, hyenas and black rhinos roam freely. There’s animal action of a different kind to be had at Doncaster Racecourse (20 minutes), which has a full schedule of flat and jump racing throughout the year. Culture hounds often make a beeline for the partially restored ruins of medieval Conisbrough Castle (half an hour), where you can climb the tower for dramatic countryside views, walk around the keep and trace the castle’s history in the visitor centre. Also well worth a visit is handsome Brodsworth Hall and Gardens (35 minutes), a Victorian estate with a mansion open for guided tours and colourful landscaped grounds to explore.
