Liked Spacious between pitches. The site was very clean and showers and toilet blocks we maintained. The setting is lovely and peaceful and the saff were very relaxed and extremely helpful. We had bikes and enjoyed a flat ride into York, easy from the site on the White Rose Trail (65). We left our bikes at York train station. The ride is 30 miles return but very easy cycling.

Disliked Only problem for us was the motorhome was too big to just drive out on a day & there wasn’t much out and about we could walk to, so generally stayed on site.

As for the size of your motorhome.....well....that's beyond our powers. You could get a smaller one? Or bikes? And we do have a super bus service that could whisk you to York (Minster, Railway Museum, historic walks, ghost trail, Betty's Tea Rooms and The Shambles) or Leeds Armouries, Helmsley or Fountains Abbey, Beninborough Hall or the heaven on earth that is the East Coast.....In the absence of a bike Shanks' Pony can take you anywhere as long as the batteries last.

Liked It's a very big site. The staff were very friendly. It was easy to find. There are lots of water stations. The wifi was good.
You need a fob to access the main gate, which felt secure.
There is a nice dog walking area.
The campsite was clean.
Disliked The facilities are a bit older and it could get a bit busy at peak times. It wasn't super dirty, but it wasn't super clean either.

Liked Superb pitches, the space was amazing.
Disliked Not a criticism of the site. Buses ran every two hours which was frustrating, but we know the area so it might not be a problem for anyone not familiar with the area.
