What customers say

Great family spot, spacious sites, lovely lake. Plenty to do – watersports, mini-golf, footgolf. Clean facilities, helpful staff. A few mention bar noise, want more facilities, but most loved it and plan to return.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked Clean, spacious and facilitated enough when you don’t have an electric pitch. The clubhouse is reasonably priced and staff are lovely. The manager was fantastic. Kids enjoyed the site and we all loved being on the lake with the kayaks and paddle boards.

Disliked The British bloody weather!

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked The field isn’t very big so ideal for young families not having far to move.
Bert’s resturant, the lake, mini golf and kiosk for ice cream/coffees/toasties were all great. Beaches and Beverley near by.

Disliked We weren’t sure where we could put any rubbish so took it home with us.

Local attractions

If, after trying all the sporty facilities on site, you still haven't had your fill of outdoor life, you might like to spend a few hours on the greens at Hainsworth Park Golf Club (five minutes' walk), an attractive parkland course where there are 18 holes to play with. A little further afield, you can let the coast at Hornsey (15 minutes) and Bridlington (25 minutes) provide you with bucket and spade days, or head to The Deep (30 minutes), a huge aquarium in the centre of Hull, to find out what's swimming beneath the surface… It takes about an hour to get there, but the spectacular Spurn Heritage Coast – affectionately known as ‘Yorkshire's very own Land's End’ – is also well worth visiting for its birdlife and rugged seascapes. Dacre Lakeside Park is a well-connected place, so you can easily get out on day trips to handsome historic sites like the centre of York (an hour) or Castle Howard (an hour), one of the North's grandest stately homes.
