With easy access from the A12 and A14 plus 12 acres of peaceful natural land to its name, Low Farm Campsite is an excellent spot for an easy escape in a splendid Suffolk setting. This lovely location is part of the Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscape, and the owners of the site are doing their bit to preserve the local landscapes by returning their farmland to nature. As part of that approach, the guest areas have been designed to site nicely in the natural setting, with plenty of space so that you’ll never feel crammed in even if the place is full. The idea here is to create peaceful, simple experiences, and with that in mind the owners have set the place up as an adults-only site with just the essential facilities – guests have access to toilets, showers, a washing-up area and a chemical disposal point. Dogs are welcome as long as they’re kept on a leash on site – the area’s footpaths and open spaces mean you shouldn’t struggle to find a place for a good walk (whether you’ve got a dog or not). You’re allowed to set up a barbecue here if you’d like to do some outdoor cookery, but there are also a couple of pubs within walking distance serving up good food for those times when you don’t feel like it. Also within easy walking distance is a river beach on the River Deben, with boat trips available. Woodbridge (10 minutes’ drive) and Ipswich (20 minutes) are also close by for shops and places to eat.

  • The campground/park does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dog Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).
  • Group bookings of 4 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).
  • Single-sex bookings of 4 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • Guests under the age of 25 are not allowed on site.
  • Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
  • Guests must bring their own duvets, pillows, sheets and towels when staying in rental accommodation. You will not be allowed to stay if you do not bring these items.
  • Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the campground/park are unlit.
  • No gas barbecues allowed.
  • If reception is closed on arrival: please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.
  • Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.

Wildlife unpowered grass site

Liked This beautiful campsite it wonderfully thought out. We stayed off grid in the wild area it was so peaceful and beautiful. Will definitely be returning.

Liked Peacefulness, large pitch space, privacy, cleanliness, security, level pitches, very well maintained.
Unbelievably quiet & tranquil.

Disliked Needed more showers, particularly at busier times, but this would not stop me from returning.

Liked Great Adult only site, (sorry so quiet without kids) now need to find adult only, no dogs, everyone around us seemed to have a yapper

Pitch up said communal freezer, but when we got there it said for wild campers only and it was full

Loos smelt amazing

Showers OK but only 2? Although not a problem this weekend but could be if a lot busier

Would be nice to have some WiFi paid or free as 4g was very hit and miss

Will return - thanks 😊

Liked The wild camping layout really impressed me and the facilities on this site are kept really well.

Toilets and showers were very clean and well maintained, another huge bonus is you can take a proper shower without those strange 5 second water timers. The check in team were very friendly and cheerful

Liked Location - beautiful, green spaces with trees, great set out. Not just bland flat grass. Facilities clean and good condition. Over 25’s only. Remote check in. Motorcycle friendly.

Liked Everything about this site is wonderful. It is conveniently situated near the A12 but with zero traffic noise. It is beautifully landscaped with lovely little areas to pitch your tent in privacy and peace. The facilities were very good and very clean.
Lovely site will definitely come back.
