What customers say
Walnut Tree Meadow gets top marks for being dog-friendly, with ample space and fields for them to explore. Owners are welcoming, facilities are clean, and the cafe is a bonus. Peaceful setting, great walks. Some found toilets basic, noted bugs, and wanted more BBQ spots. Limited electric hook-ups meant pitches were close at times.

If you have dogs then the best site ever.
Powered grass site
Liked Lovely quiet small site and absolutely amazing for dogs. Very clean, well serviced and lit well at night. Great walks direct from the site plus an amazing on site cafe.
Disliked Flies!!! but it was warm and surrounded by lovely animals so not surprised really.

From the manager: Thank you for your review.
I was also devastated by the influx of flies. Due to an earlier than normal harvest the farm next door spread turkey muck on the fields just before you arrived.
It is normally done later when the weather is cooler but we have no control over when or where it is done.
We have registered our disappointment with the contractors.

Liked The location and walk into the town. Plenty of pitch space and the dog exercise area.
Disliked The shower was a wooden shed but without a full sized door and therefore draughty. Luckily we were there during a heatwave and it was dry outside. Apart from a text before we arrived to notify me of the pitch number we did not see anyone which is unusual on campsites that we visit.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback.
In response to the shower there is a second shower in the barn which is fully enclosed.
The shower on the field is designed to give a 'back to nature' off grid feel.
I would normally try to greet every arrival but I had to fill in for a colleague (my other job) in a meeting on Friday.
When guests stay for a short time my visits to the field and cleaning facilities may not co-incide with their time on their pitches but I am always available via phone if any problems.

Lovely campsite, good facilities
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked A lovely quiet campsite, not too many tents. The food in the cafe is gorgeous and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The shower is hot and easy to use, all facilities are kept very clean and stocked up. It's nice being so close to nature with the pygmy goats and alpacas so close by, and we loved the geese (but kept a respectful distance from their beaks!). The owner come over to say hello and help orientate us to the facilities then leaves you alone, which is appreciated. There are shops and supermarkets nearby, and it's only about 25 minutes drive to Norwich
Disliked Nothing- I've been several times now and love it.

Powered grass site
Liked Lovely site with almost pitches and plenty of space. We holidayed with my dog who thoroughly enjoyed a swimming session at the canine dip and dive which is also on site. We also had a meal at the onsite cafe which was very nice.
Disliked The only downside was no hot water in the toilet block on the field although there was plenty in the washing up area a short walk away.
