What customers say
A budget-friendly, peaceful spot near beaches and walks. Staff are welcoming. But the entrance is often described as a 'scrap yard,' and facilities are basic, with mixed reviews on cleanliness and upkeep. Fire pits and wood are a plus.

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked The showers were warm and the field was flat and good
Disliked It was overall just mank. You enter through what looks to be a junkyard, the toilet block is very dirty, and at least when I was there there wasn't any soap. Also the sink is a giant trough that doesn't drain all the water, and since it hadn't been cleaned for a while, it was mank.
The showers were grim with other peoples soaps, shavers and sandles left in there, implying that they haven't been cleaned in a long time.

Liked Quiet. Nice walk to deserted beach. Facilities basic but functional. Handy to have a mechanic on site when you drive over a firepit on the way out. Great site for watching the meteor showers
Disliked Ants but heyho it's camping

Good few days break!
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Quiet small camping ground. First time camping for us,so that was nice as had small dog& grandchildren.
Pitch was large& by woody area,so not overlooked by anything. Football net,so Grandson happy. This is basic camping that we enjoyed for 2 days. Our van wouldn't start when leaving so owners son-in-law helped us for 2hrs.+ with that,so we were very grateful &owner was able to sort out any minor issues with a phone call.
Disliked Trekking to the beach(if kiddies with you)

Very simple + cheep + relaxed. Amazing to have a bombfire facitities.
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Best thing ever was that they set up metal barrels that we were allowed to use to make a fire in. They also sold wood which was not a rip off it was real good value. Very simple and basic, a field with trees around, nice and quiet and not crowded. I liked that is was simple, not loads of over the top mod cons. Could chose where you wanted to pitch, it is a good place for tents or vehicles that have thier own electric. Staff were friendly and let you get on with it, they were not fussy or moany. Very cheep too. It was off the beaten track but we still was able to get there on foot using bus and walking.
Disliked I was nervous on entering as i did not know where to go, Need a sign saying reception here or this way to entrance type of thing, i ended up walking through junk and rubbish because i saw a hut that i thought was the reception, but it was not anyway. If there was a sign saying this way... i would have carried on going forward and had seen the owners house/huts.
