Unpowered grass site
Liked Nice and quiet, very few other people staying and no one caused a noise. Nice and secure with the locked gate. Reasonable facilities for the price and we'll placed for visitors local attractions.
Disliked Nothing really

Great for an overnight or few days stop in the countryside
Powered grass site
Liked Lovely owner welcomed us and told us about the working farm which was fascinating. Waking up and looking out of the tailgate at a field of sheep and lambs was delightful. Considering that I was expecting the back to basics life I was pleasantly surprised to have a perfectly level pitch, reliable power and clean facilities (although someone flooded the shoeer/toilet in the morning).
We found the other visitors really friendly as well.
Disliked Despite being set on a narrow lane people drive surprisingly fast as it's a straight stretch so during the day and early evening it can be louder than you'd expect for the rural location. But we didn't hear anything overnight which was a plus.

It does what it says on the tin, and does it well.

Liked If you're looking for a nice, cheap, peaceful site with basic amenities, this is perfect. Large pitches considering size of the field - good to see the owners considered guest's privacy over profit, as they could have squeezed more pitches out of the site if they'd wanted. The noise from the road and the farm is minimal and I noticed no 'farmyard' aroma. Site is level with no apparent drainage problems and has a locked gate for security. Overall, I had no complaints and will definitely be going back soon.
Disliked If I had to be picky, the area around the toilets/washing-up basin could do with a tidy up, but it wasn't enough to put me off.

Would return if I didn’t need to use any facilities.
Unpowered grass site
Liked . Lovely views over the fields very peaceful. Definitely at One with Nature.
The area is very cycling friendly to nearby Ashwell, Wimpole Hall, The Mordens
The showering facilities were fairly clean.
Disliked The facility are very basic. The whole area where you wash up, shower & the WC, are very shabby, “shack in the forest look”…..
A caravan which is just when you enter, is obviously a long time resident is very off putting as well, due to the make shift, unkept look. Also “lone person lives in the forest look”
It’s a little half hearted everywhere, with a little money spent on the drive way, entrance gate with nice plants and outside sink area it would be a winner
Head torch is a must as no lighting at all on the site.
If these were improved we would definitely return..

Liked Spacious pitches on a lovely small site, I couldn't put my tent up as it was too windy, so I camped in my car instead🙂
The people were very welcoming and were always on site to help with anything. Felt very safe as a solo female camper.
All the facilities were very clean.
Had a great view overlooking the farm, lovely to watch the sheep and their lambs grazing.
It was so peaceful here, tucked out of the way just the farm and a few other campers.
It was absolutely perfect for me, just the relaxation I needed. I will certainly be returning. Thank you 😊
