  • Small and simple site on a Warwickshire family farm
  • A 15-minute drive from Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick Castle
  • Hikes, fishing and open water swimming in the surrounding area
Well, here’s a winning Warwickshire location for an alfresco break – Owl Barn Farm Camping is a small and family-oriented site 15 minutes’ drive from Stratford-upon-Avon and close to the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This countryside site is part of a family-run farm that you’ll be sharing with the resident chickens and goats (they live in a separate enclosure, but are always happy to receive visitors…) You’ll be staying on grass pitches with access to simple facilities including toilets, showers and a washing-up area. As for activities, on select dates during high season, the site runs goat yoga. Filling your days with outdoor pursuits should be straightforward around here – there are lots of walking trails to choose from, plus options nearby for fishing, paddleboarding and open water swimming. You’ll be able to tick off major landmarks too, including Warwick Castle and Stratford’s various Shakespeare-themed attractions. Meanwhile, if you’re here on a Saturday you’ll be able to head over the road and seek out treasures at Wellesbourne Airfield Market. For other shopping, there are a couple of supermarkets five minutes’ drive away for all your meal ingredients; if you’d rather eat out there are a few pubs around the area and plenty of places to choose from in Stratford-upon-Avon.

What customers say

Peaceful, spacious farm site with friendly owners. Great for animal interaction (goats!), including goat yoga. Clean, adequate facilities, though showers take 50p. Some want recycling/freezer. Rural feel, close to attractions.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked I loved the peace and quiet, the field was wild and spacious and there were goats roaming about and a horse and pony nearby. At night you could hear an owl calling. The setting was beautiful. Staff were helpful and friendly and just really accommodating. It was just a short drive to lots of lovely places to visit, a fabulous location. There was also goat yoga which was really good fun.

Disliked The shower and toilet block was quite primitive and you need 50p coins to use the shower itself but it was functional and clean bath mats were provided.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked Location - peaceful

Disliked Rubbish - no recycling option - “green” bin
Shower - 50p coin - prefer contactless payment or cost of shower built into the price.
Roosters - Men’s toilets ok - could do with lime or citrus freshener for loos/urinals & sinks/shelves given a wipe over & freshen up.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked Lovely quiet site with lots of room.
Just a few pitches on a large hedge lined field, nice and secluded.
Friendly owners, facilities whilst basic are everything you need…..
Short drive from Stratford upon Avon, lovely bustling place definitely worth a visit! Spent a sunny day in Warwick , a picturesque place with lovely park and river.

Disliked Maybe charge a couple of pound more for the pitch and make the showers free.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked Lovely camping field, lots of space, quiet and lots of birdlife. Lovely rural area of Warwickshire but with cafes, places to visit and suoermarkets nearby. Good clean facilities, toilets, showers, washing up sinks, car parking. Very friendly owners. We had 4 great nights camping here and would happily come again!

Disliked I would have liked freezer facilities for freezing cool blocks. Wasn't too keen on a couple of young goats wandering about the campsite, would have preferred them to be in the enclosure with the others but they'll soon be too big to escape!
