Settle yourselves down here, Shakespeare fans: Dodwell Park is just two miles from Shakespeare’s birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s cottage and all the bardly attractions of Stratford-upon-Avon. There’s peace, there’s quiet, there’s a countryside setting – and if all that still isn’t enough for a final attempt to get the kids (and dog) reading sonnets, you can culture-ise them by taking them along to nearby Warwick Castle for all sorts of horrible history. Sorted. Dodwell Park is a small family-run site where the amenities are kept to spotless standards, with free hot showers, dishwashing facilities and hairdryers to keep the barnet looking tiptop. A shop and off-licence is on site, and armfuls of leaflets are at the information stand with info on Stratford-upon-Avon and other local tourist attractions. Nearby are Cotswold villages with Shakespearely thatched inns, walks and cruises along the River Avon and the hills of the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Boating, fishing and old buildings are at Luddington village about three miles from Dodwell Park. Leaving the car behind to avoid hiking up car parking costs in Stratford? A regular bus service stops right outside the site.

  • Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
  • The shop is open daily 8am - 9:30am and may open at other times depending on site occupancy. The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: American Staffordshire terrier, any Mastiff or Tosa.

Disliked Not being allocated gravel pitch on arrival althought booked Grass pitch almost impossible to level up, informed gravel pitches only available to outfits booked for 7 nights.
Put on pitch next to water supply and waste water facilities, no Tv signal available but luckily we do not watch a lot of TV on site. Internet connection very poor. Shower mop and bucket had dirty water.

Liked It was a lovely park , a lot complain about the toilets but dated but they were very clean so no problem , the person that books you in was very friendly and informative. Over all nice place would definitely go back

Disliked I had to buy a indoor aerial as it was quite bad to get a tv signal , the indoor aerial worked perfectly

Liked It was fantastic, very clean n very friendly. Will deffo go back again.

Disliked Nothing to dislike. Maybe the shop could stay open a bit longer but shops are close enough.

Disliked Dirty loos and showers.dirty pot wash area. Pot wash water was Luke warm any time of day or night that you went to wash up. Shop on site, but not open when advertised it should have been.

Liked Very nice welcome from lady on reception.

Disliked Shower facilities very poor. Just about clean but extremely small and old. Pitch also small. We left early because of these comments. We realised we'd been before and left early then too!! Needless to say we will not stay a third time.
