What customers say
Handy for Stratford-upon-Avon with a bus stop nearby. Friendly staff, clean facilities (hot showers a highlight!). Pitches generally good, but some noted sloping ground and close proximity. Shop hours limited. Some dated facilities, occasional noise.

Liked Our 3rd stay at Dodwell park and will return again. Lovely friendly welcome from the management, who are on hand if you needed anything. Lovely quiet well maintained site situated just a couple of miles from stratford upon avon... there is a bus stop either side of the road right outside the site entrance. A cheap trip into town in about 10 mins... we had a slow stroll this time taking in some spring sunshine which took us about 35 mins to the centre of town... there is a tarmacadam path along 1 side of the road all the way to stratford. Plenty of eateries and pubs within the town, and the river and locks and parks... plenty to do.
Disliked Nothing, we thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend again...

Clean toilets…

Liked Clean toilets
Disliked Pitches too close to each other.
No grid to drive over to empty grey waste. You have a grey waste carrier.
We ended up emptying it when we got home.

Previously loved staying at Dodwell. This visit not so good.

Liked The site is in a good location and has easy access to public transport.
At check in, the wardens appeared to be very friendly and we were shown to our pitch.
Disliked The shower/ toilet block is in need of a refurb, it is very tired. We have stayed at Dodwell a few times without any issues. This time we were on pitch 3, there were a couple of occasions when our electricity tripped even though we had only our TV on and heating, the neighbouring caravans (which I believe are there long term) knocked on our door when this happened, which I have no issue with at all. However, the one neighbour told us we should turn our heating down and limit the usage. They also informed us that the rest of the park had upgraded electric boxes but the one we were sharing between the 3 pitches was not.
On arrival the warden didn't seem sure where the electric hook up was when we asked - it was not obvious to us, it was a small box which was later found at the back of the neighbours car.
On the day of leaving the site, I emptied our toilet cassette into the Elson waste, I have never experienced an Elson waste point be in such a disgusting state! It was early morning between 07.30 and 08.00. Thankfully I have gloves that I use when emptying the toilet, there was poo that had been left and then tissue with poo over it on the hose pipe. When I tried to flush the system, it would not go down. There was a gentleman waiting behind me to use it, I explained to him that it had been left in a poor state, unfortunately he did not have any gloves. I couldn't see any wardens at the time to report it straight away, as it was early I didn't want to knock on any doors.

Liked Great location for Stratford upon Avon. Can either walk into the town or catch local bus which stops outside.
Disliked Very old and basic shower and toilet block. Never managed to get a hot shower whilst there (tried a few times). No WiFi.

Liked Nice welcome ….. great to see the photos of the site as it has evolved Spacious pitches….. reasonably good bus service to Stratford or Evesham…. Nice walk into Luddington and along the river (once you find the entrance via the homes site…..) there’s a gate behind the shower block ! Shower areas are well laid out …. Dry area is quite large.
Disliked Nothing to dislike ….. I can imagine the washing up area can get a bit chilly as it is exposed to the elements.

Liked Spacious pitches, reasonably priced, small and peaceful site. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Showers warm and powerful and all facilities clean.
Field at the front to walk dog around too which is great.
Think this was our 4th stay here
Disliked Not a dislike just a warning, the dog field is not fenced off so dont let your dog off the lead at the start as they could get onto road but youre fine further along the field

Simple campsite with great location for exploring Stratford.
Powered grass site
Liked Proximity to Stratford was great. You can catch a bus from right outside the campsite and it takes less than 10 minutes. Or a 50 min walk. Friendly staff, toilets were satisfactory. Flexibility around us arriving late was much appreciated. Campsite is on a holiday park which didn’t bother us but may be some much busier in peak times.
Disliked Some road noise, quite a few caravans appeared to be permanent which we feel reduces the ‘holiday feel’ but residents were polite and friendly so not a problem.
