There are several reasons why Pear Tree Cottage at Poplar Farm place is so well-liked by its guests: proximity to the sea, wow-inducing views of the Lincolnshire Wolds and easy access to heaps of footpaths and bridleways that crisscross the local area and coastline. Hidden away down a private country lane and set in a level and well-maintained two-acre field, this smashing little hidey hole lies among peaceful coastal countryside and is a short drive away from several beaches and resorts along the Lincolnshire coast, including Mablethorpe, Ingoldmells and Skegness, with the nearest – Huttoft – an easy mile away. For stuff to do nearby, a spectacular seafront golf course lies around two miles away, and if you’re of the horsey persuasion, this is a good spot to base yourself for hacks along the sand and coastal bridleways, as Lincolnshire County Council permits riding on all of its beaches. The Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a short drive away too for long hikes and bike rides. When you return to Poplar Farm after a long day of seeing and doing along this area’s stunning coastline, swing by Alford, around 15 minutes’ drive away, to pick up a few bits to throw on a barbecue back at base, or give yourself a break and stick around to dine out at one of several restaurants there. Among the amenities at the site are a bathroom block with toilets and showers, and a laundry room with a tourist information area.

Liked Don't want to write this review as it's only going to make it more difficult to book next time!!
This camp site is better than a lot of the hotels I've stayed in!!
The toilets and shower rooms are immaculate and with the policies in place hygienic as well.
The washing up area is just as clean and tidy.
The camping plots are on well kept lawns and there is plenty of room.
The owners are very engaging and give out all the information you need and really want you to enjoy their campsite.
The area is really good for walking from tent and there is a very good pub in the village about 20 mins walk or 30-40 on the back road.

Liked Lovely stay, we stayed with a tourer caravan & the pitches are great, with grass area for each pitch, great. Owners couldnt be more friendly! Let us know what was going on in area. Really close to a very quiet beach with parking right at the beach which was perfect. It was just a stunning quant place with the most beautiful sun sets

Liked I am cranking the rating up to a Spinal Tap inspired 11. This is a beautifully maintained site with amazing hosts in Dave and Chris. Just a short drive or 25 min walk to the beach, lots of cafes etc locally. Dave is on hand if needed and gives great advice on local places and walks. The field behind the camping field comes to life at dusk with red deer, muntjacks, a large heron, hares, rabbits, it is perfect for wildlife lovers to sit with a cold wine (chilled in the freezer in the wash up room). The showers and toilets are kept immaculately clean. I can't recommend it highly enough.
