Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

  • Touring park a couple of minutes' drive from Skegness beach
  • Spacious family-friendly site; pets welcome too
  • Secure site with well-equipped touring pitches
Set up back in 2016 on open farmland just on the outskirts of Lincolnshire seaside capital Skegness: if you want busy and seaside town days along with days among green Lincolnshire countryside, petite and clean Skegness Fields is a well-placed pick. Pitches are hardstanding ones for tourers and motorhomes, and come with electric hook-up and a water point. The smart facilities include a swish shower and toilet block, washing-up area and chemical disposal. As it's a family-friendly site, Skegness Fields has plenty of room for kids to roam and grownups to relax; it's a safely-kept site too, with a fully secure barrier entry system. The sands of Skegness are a couple of minutes' drive, a leisurely stroll or a quick bus ride away.

Great facilities & spacious pitches. Friendly staff. Close to Skegness town. Some road noise noted, but peaceful for many. Wi-Fi patchy at busy times. High overall satisfaction, with keenness to revisit.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked Facilities were clean and secure site.

Disliked Site had set pitches. Unfortunately they were on a rather small area of grass and whilst most sites would put some around the edge and a few in the middle this was definitely a squeeze as many in as possible. The pitches were three deep, so as well as having people fairly close either side, you also have them in front and behind and unless you pitched next to the road people had to drive through other people’s pitches to get to their tents. It’s a nice site, but tents are definitely an afterthought, the tent area isn’t even on the site map!

Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site

Liked Upon arrival the receptionist was polite and helpful.
Just 10 min walk down the road is a pub and Tesco Express.
Pitches are large and well spaced.
Price very reasonable for mid August.

Disliked The site is located alongside the A158, the main road into and out of Skegness, so during the day there is continuous traffic noise.
Proliferation of weeds across the campsite, even through the gravel pitches, site has an air of neglect and indifference, there was a fair amount of litter scattered across site too.
Toilets though modern don't appear to be cleaned regularly.

Fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site

Liked Its a nice little caravan park, clean and well maintained, good for adults but not too good for kids as its very basic. Toilets and showers cleaned regularly.

Disliked I wouldn't say disliked but we were a family of 5 and nothing yo do onsite other than a very small play park. It was quite far from Skegness beach, not walkable, but we knew that when we booked.

Local attractions

Wander, take the car, or get the bus that stops just across the road from Skegness Fields to seaside town Skegness for days of coast and sand. The beach, sea and pier will likely be many folks' first stops (probably followed by a bag of hot fish and chips or an ice cream on the sands), but do take time too to get to the town's other top attractions, like the Natureland Seal Sanctuary and the fab and wild Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve just outside the centre. From Skegness, travel along the coast to Ingoldmells for a knuckle-tightening time at Fantasy Island, the mammoth amusement park with the world’s longest suspended rollercoaster and Europe’s longest looping rollercoaster. (A mammoth indoor market is also in town to totter to if you need to soothe yourself afterwards.) Other options around the sea and Lincolnshire are trips further along the coast to Sutton on Sea, Mablethorpe and on to Saltfleet, and inland to the walks and bike rides of the flat Wolds, or staggering under the weight of piles of newly purchased produce at Lincolnshire's market towns like Louth, Alford and Horncastle.
