- Multi-award-winning adults-only site with well-stocked fishing lakes
- 100-seat platinum award-winning restaurant, bistro, bar and steakhouse
- Wheelchair-accessible pegs available at two fishing lakes
Fishing followed by dinner at an award-winning restaurant – and all right there where you’re staying? If that sounds like a fine combination, hook yourself a break at Caistor Lakes Leisure Park, an adults-only park in the little town of Caistor on the northern edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
There’s much to please at the well-stocked lakes, whether you’re an experienced angler or someone who just fancies giving it a go. All the lakes have a dropoff point for tackle, gravelled paths, electric and wifi access, and full toilet facilities.
Pick up day tickets on site for match lake the Foundry Pool (mixed silver fish and carp up to 13lb) or pleasure lake Heron Pool (mixed silver fish and carp up to 29lb) – both of these have wheelchair-accessible pegs available. If you're not lucky with your catch, console yourself by watching the ornamental swimmers at the koi aquarium.
And there’s much to please away from the water, too – the surrounding countryside is packed with places to walk or cycle, and a drive of less than half an hour will get you to the coast for some sea air. Bikes, tandems and cars can be hired on site to aid you in your exploration.
Once all that's left you peckish, settle in for some downtime in the Caistor Lakes 100-seat restaurant, refurbished in 2020 and in a peaceful setting overlooking the lakes and gardens. It’s open throughout the week for everything from light bites to full meals (and it’s won numerous awards in its time, too).
Famished but can't tear yourself away from the fishing? The staff at the restaurant can deliver sustenance to your peg (or your accommodation if you're after a lazy night in).
Amenities on site include top-notch and sparklingly clean shower and toilet facilities (with separate male and female areas and full disabled access), free wifi and access to fresh water fill-ups and waste water and chemical disposal points.

Local attractions
Caistor Lakes Leisure Park's local town of Caistor is a market town on the edge of the Wolds with a history going back a couple of thousand years to Roman times. Main sights to see are the Georgian and Victorian architecture, the Scheduled Ancient Monument of the remaining fragments of Roman wall, and the market square with over 50 listed buildings.
Fellow market town Market Rasen is 15 minutes' drive away and visited for its racecourse, more Georgian and Victorian architecture, and market days on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
If you're up for ambling, an easy four-mile circular walk starts and ends in Caistor via Nettleton, or you could hike the 25 miles of the Caistor Challenge, wander the Wolds free range, or tackle some of the 147 miles of the Viking Way passing through Caistor on its route from Humber Bridge to Oakham.
