What customers say
A well-kept, quiet spot with big, flat pitches and top-notch, spotless facilities. Close to Ross-on-Wye town, shops and amenities. Friendly staff, nice dog walk with a lake. Some short showers and traffic noise near the A40, but generally not a problem. Approach via industrial estate is fine.

Well kept site a short walk…
Powered grass caravan site
Liked Well kept site a short walk from town. Lake area that’s part of the site is fenced off and it’s nice place to walk the dog or sit and relax. Very clean bathrooms. Helpful wardens. Ross of wye has good places to eat and drink and great for walks with independent shops to browse.
Disliked Not much shade on pitches. Vans and motorhome all have to be parked facing in same direction so if your hab door is on the driver’s side you will have sun after midday (weather permitting) and gazebos are not allowed. We were there on a very hot weekend during heat wave with our family and they had this problem with toddler and baby. Luckily they could sit with us in shade of our van. I think more flexibility to park van either way is needed (C&M club allow this) because sometimes you want some sun on cooler days and sometimes you need to avoid it during a heat wave.

All of our units face the same way towards the lake whetjer UK or continental.
As we were full over the weekend it was quite hard to move people and find them shady pitches.
Most people that arrived said they would have liked a shady pitch but I can do nothing about the weather if it had of been raining everyone would have still not been happy with the pitch they had
We are not a C&M club

We were full for that weekend as you could plainly see and you wanted to be next to your friends.
If you had come into the office we may have been able to move you somewhere else but unless we are told we dont know.
Yes the road can be quite noisy at times but as I said we were full that weekend and someone has to be up that end.

Disappointed
Powered grass caravan site
Liked Very close to Ross on Wye and shops. Once on site you cannot see the industrial units around the site. Showers etc were clean.
Disliked Little shade around our pitch and temperatures were in mid 30s at height of a heatwave! Having a continental caravan it was impossible to leave door open in full sun, so flipped the van around to face same way as all other vehicles and get some shade.
The site manager zoomed in on his buggy and insisted I turn the van around because the tow bar must face only one way. I asked why and the only reason was to obey the owners orders. I was offered a pitch with even less shade, so chose to put up with the best of a bad job.
A dismissive attitude was not what I expected but hey ho we cannot have common sence all the time.

Beautiful Campsite
Powered grass caravan site
Liked Absolutely lovely campsite, with quiet big green open spaces.Lovely dog walking and exercise field, that you can walk to Ross on Wye a short distance away through.
The campsite itself had very good amenities, at least 10 toilets and about 6 shower cubicles all very clean.
On arrival by two very friendly campsite owners.

Liked This site has access to a lovely dog walk with a lake in the middle. The toilets and washing areas were clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. The site is convenient to Ross on Wye.
Disliked Although clean, the showers didn't stay hot and stream lasted 8 seconds before water went off and you had to push button again.
Very close to A40, so some loud traffic noise.
