What customers say
A top-notch, friendly site with great value. Reviewers loved the clean, modern facilities and roomy pitches. Ideal for Forest of Dean exploration. Owners fix issues fast. Minor gripes: occasional noise, road proximity, and no hot water for washing up.

Friendly, great value, great location.
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Great little campsite. Basic field camp but the facilities are clean and tidy. Good showers.
Spacious pitches.
Very peaceful and felt safe.
No wifi but I had 5g reception.
We stayed for a couple of nights for access to the forrest bike trails which couldn’t have been easier.
The host was great too, really friendly and helpful. Even kept my son happy by supplying emergency ketchup for his hotdog from her house! (Which I’d forgotten)
Would highly recommend this site for forrest MTB visitors and families or couples visiting the area.
Disliked Nothing really, probably not one if you need club house, and lots of facilities. But suited us down to the ground.

Great site
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Shower and toilets brilliant and super clean, lovely hot water and plenty of toilet paper! I would like to suggest a small shelf in the toilets just to put your wash bag on whilst you brush teeth etc.
The owners are lovely and extremely helpful. In matters of noisy guests (music and loudness) the owner is proactive and deals with this situation effectively. Why grown adults feel the need to make a racket when camping is beyond me but the lady of the house will sort it if you do and we appreciated the intervention. We slept well even though the weather was poor, the campsite holds up well in the rain and is not muddy at all. Easy to find and a short walk to town. we ate at the Italian which was nice. This site is very convenient to use as a base to explore and prices are reasonable. A good stay even though we weren’t lucky with the weather. would definitely recommend.
