Liked: Very clean facilities. Freezer for ice packs. Pizzas available to order in the evening. Quiet site with no busy roads nearby. No noise disturbance from other campers. Short drive to nearby Buxton & Bakewell and approx 1 mile to walk to the nearest pub in Monyash. Some good off road cycling trails nearby using old railway lines.
Disliked: Some of the pitches are on a sloping fields, as we arrived quite late on the Saturday the only available space was one of the furthest pitches from the facilities area, this meant a five minute walk to use the showers / toilets (not a major issue for us but maybe not ideal if you have small children). 20p charge for a 2 minute shower.

Liked: Lovely little place. Exceeded my expectations. The facilities are great, toilets and showers were always clean. I guess I expected ‘farm like facilities (compost toilets, not so warm showers ect) but this place has a great shower block, somewhere clean and warm to wash your pots.
Coffee machine and vending machine, little shop and even homemade pizzas on site. The environment was perfect. As a first time solo female traveller I was a little apprehensive about my stay but everyone was friendly and welcoming.

Disliked: No phone signal, which for me is fine as I liked the peace and quiet, but for others it may be an issue. There is WiFi in the shower and toilet blocks and reception.
