Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Well laid out campsite. The Warden and his partner are lovely, warm and welcoming. Toilets and showers were clean even during a busy period.
Disliked Not related to the campsite, but there isn't much to do around the campsite, unless you drive.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (large)
Liked Location to get to the places we wanted to go to was good. The new shower block was good and clean. The second block needs updating, but is clean. They have a horse, donkey, Alpaca, goats, whcih is a nice touch. Easy to peg tents to the soft ground. The owner's daughter (Rachel?) was nice and gave us tips about the local area.
Disliked Charges £10 per day for an extra car, which is excessive and more than other sites I've been to. It's located next to a cattle farm, which is noisy early mornings, We had a large pitch, but the firepit is placed at a location 1/4th of the way in the pitch making it difficult to use when the tent is up- it ends up being too close to the tent. I spoke ot the owner about options and he got defensive about the location, blaming us for not pitching the tent correctly! We have a very large tent and no orientation would have made a difference. I've never had that sort of customer service from any campsite I've ever been to! Found it unwelcoming. I asked him for a solution, and he suggested using a firepit in another pitch. It would've been so much nicer, if he just said that upfront rather than getting defensive about the location of the firepit! That was the only negative interaction that I had with the owners. For the owners: People come there on holiday, so please make them feel welcome and be warm! That will go a long way in getting people to come back. No laundrette and wifi is not good at the pitches.

From the manager: Regarding your review You booked a large electric tent pitch, when you pitched your tent it was placed in the middle of the pitch leaving lots of space at the back of your tent, we suggested moving your tent further back away from the fire pit as you had pitched it half way down the pitch very close to the fire. Before booking it does state that the campsite is on a working farm, all the pitches fire pits are located on the guest’s pitch, allowing enough rooms for a 7m tent to fit onto the pitch and for the guest to be able to use the fire pit safely. You had pitched your tent halfway down the pitch meaning it was far too close to your fire pit. Before booking it also states that extra cars are £10 per night all this information is given to you prior to booking. We spoke to you regarding your tent being too close to your fire pit and suggested about moving your tent further back as you had pitched the tent in the middle of the pitch leaving lots of space at the back, we tried to explain to you to move your tent further back, not once was anyone rude to you, we were trying to help you. You tried to inform me that the fire pit was in the wrong place, when all the pitches are measured to size. We suggested about moving your tent further back so that you didn't have to use another fire pit on a different pitch, we tried to help you as much as we possibly could. The pitch i had allocated you before arrival was also an XL pitch meaning it was larger than 7m we did this as you had an extra car, and it allowed your pitch to be closer to the parking for the extra car. We don't advertise that we have a laundrette as this isn't something that we have on site, all the site information is provided before booking and after booking, I personally suggest you read all information prior to booking to ensure that a site has everything you require. Kind regards, Rachael (Owner)

Electric grass pitch
Liked It is a lovely campsite with clean toilets and showers. Great location for all sites that Snowdonia has to offer. Also close to nearby towns and amenities which is great. The pitches are large and well distributed. Good distance between pitches, which mean we could barely hear neighbouring tents. Large pitches also meant that we had sufficient space for our large tent and two cars.
Disliked Only two toilet blocks. The one close to our pitch had only one shower, which mean long queues. Wifi non-existent at our pitch. Wish the field with tents also had tarmac to prevent cars from getting stuck in the mud after heavy rains.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the clean facilities, spacious pitches, and convenient location. A additional shower/toilet unit is being delivered this Friday (18/08/23) The wi-fi is currently being upgraded and will then cover all our fields. At present unfortunately, the local authority planning rules state that no tarmac roads are permitted in that field. Your insights are valuable in helping us enhance our campsite experience.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Secluded location. Really lovely couple who own and run the site - they go out of their way to help you out. Nice dog walk within the site. Very clean facilities (toilets and showers). Fresh duck eggs!
Disliked Shower runs out of hot water quickly.

From the manager: Thank you Amit for your review. We offer unlimited power showers but that then relies on visitors playing the game when the site is busy- we don't want to go to a few-second push-button shower. On the plus side, if someone is a little greedy with the hot water, it only takes 15 mins to re-heat....:) We also have the electric shower & toilet room which can be used if the main shower isn't to your liking... See you again in the future! kind regards J&A

Electric grass tent pitch
Liked We went camping on an electric pitch.
PROS: Lovely location - right by the river and surrounded by mountains. Just beautiful! Nice walls around. Secure and great for kids.
Disliked Cons: No parking near tent for electric pitches. The facilities (toilests and showers) are located quite a distance away from the camping pithches close to lodges and mobile homes - that don't need them. Only 2 washing up basins for utensils. Electric camping pitches are small. No Wifi.

From the manager: Thank you for your review lovely to hear that you had a nice stay. The Electric Tent area is only big enough for 10 tents with a maximum tent size 6mx3m per pitch and it is stated when you are booking that parking is not permitted next to tents for Electric Pitches. There is a car park across from the tent area to park your car. The toilet and shower block is situated on the park for all guests on the park to use including Motorhome users. There is chargeable WIFI on the park most guests tend to use their own data on their devices to avoid any additional charges. I look forward welcoming you back to the park in the future.
