Field non-electric grass campervan or tent pitch
Liked Very quiet (when we visited) The site in general is easy to get to, and has some lovely private camp spots. (I think ambient lighting to create a more romantic theme would definitely sell this place, and make the extra £ worth paying) We camped in the bottom field. The estuary is minutes away and puts you 5 miles from barmouth. The owners friendly and approachable.
Disliked Showers/toilet block look tired, despite it still being renovated, but they worked. There is no running water, and no rubbish / recycle facilities. The stables had a horse that kicked the doors and made unhorsey screams throughout the one night!!

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Rural. And when we camped, the site was quiet.
Disliked The single track b roads (b4343?) a little stressful as the locals tear arse around them. Next time I'll stick to the a roads as much a possible!!

Liked Lovely site, quiet with lovely views. friendly staff in the farm shop, with reasonably priced food, fire pit available too. Only 4 stars because the toilets weren't open, and yes i knew that already, but if pubs can open theirs, not sure why they can't.. or give a little discount. Stone throw to the monsal trail. Anyway will definitely stay again.
