York, North Yorkshire, England
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked This is a lovely tranquil site that has beautifully landscaped and recently opened. Very secure and well maintained. Although on the outskirts of the city buses into York are frequent, there is a friendly pub within walking distance and a couple of small local supermarkets. Facilities are very clean and fresh and it is nice having the opportunity of a sauna. The pitches are spacious enough with both water and electric points. The WiFi was strong for those that need this facilities.
Disliked There are no ‘dislikes’ just a few recommendations to add onto the site and facilities.
Having someone with us that has mobility issues highlighted the fact that there are no disabled facilities. A grab rail and seating in the showers would be helpful, somewhere to put your toiletries by the shower instead of on the back of the door. The 10/12 second shower burst is not long enough to wash either yourself or your hair.
Pushing a walker can be difficult.

Amenities were clean and the shower was nice an hot. The owners were extremely friendly and polite.
Disliked Expensive per night for minimal amenities and the fact that you have to drive to any facilities.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Wernddu is is prime location for visiting various popular tourist sites, for getting to some beautiful scenic walking tracks.
The staff are most helpful, friendly and courteous. All the Golf Club and site regulars that we meet were interesting, informative and great company to have a drink with. We will be going back.
Disliked The only downer was the weather which made it just a tad muddy in places. Signage for the campsite is very sparse and you can easily pass the entrance which isn't helpful with a caravan attached. Having discussed this with the staff this is down to the council not allowing extra signs.
