Liked Lovely quiet site with spacious level pitches. A good location with lots to do and see nearby.

Disliked The ablutions block, whilst clean and servicable is in need of an update

Liked Lovely clean and tidy site. Warm, clean amenity block. I particularly liked the individual wash cubicles in addition to showers. We had a hard pitch that was dpacious and level. Easy access from road network and easy to get into colchester city. Welcome was very friendly.

Disliked One of the bonuses of this site is easy access to the road network, but unfortunately it means that road noise can be heard. At the time of our visit no site wifi was available, however I understand this is in thr process of being remedied.

Liked 10 level hard standing pitches and a small grass camping field. Welcoming and friendly host. Lovely traditional pub serving home cooked food. Toilets and showers impecibly clean and warm (vital during a March stay).

Disliked Road noise was very audible (were in our pop top), however we had booked the site specifically to be in easy reach of Alton Towers. Probably wouldn't be an issue in a caravan or motorhome.
