Non-electric grass and earth tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked This was my second visit this summer. I loved it last time and that’s still the case. Since last time I’ve stayed nearby with my other half at Knepp Rewilding, which was also lovely. But with respect to Knepp overall I prefer Peacocks Farm. Knepp has a lovely restaurant and slightly posher facilities but Peacocks Farm feels more intimate and peaceful.
Disliked Nothing really.

Liked This is a gorgeous campsite. Things started really well with an amazing welcome from Rosie. The site is intimate with great facilities. I felt so chilled staying here. It’s a shame that this is only a pop up.
Disliked Nothing whatsoever

Liked Pretty much everything. I loved the peaceful vibe and the sense of calm that I got staying here. Loo and showers were good. Check in was easy and the booking communication was good though I didn't get to meet Paul. A bonus was that I left with a couple of kilos of plums from the trees growing around my tent pitch. Lovely walk to the White Lion pub in Thakeham. The pub deserves a mention too, very friendly with good food and service. I'm already planning a return camping visit.

Non-electric grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked This was my third stay at Ridgeview. I do like it here. It’s a lovely and peaceful place to camp. Flat pitches, very simple, right by the Ridgeway and other nice paths. Short walk to the King William IV pub. Good value. Decent phone signal if that matters to you.
Disliked The featured portaloos are not the nicest place to answer the call of nature. They are kept clean though. Weather during my stay was very hot so the cold water only showers were bearable. Some modest upgrades would greatly improve the experience i.e. compost loos and a solar panel to heat the showers.

From the manager: Thanks Simon, always good to have you with us. We do explore alternative shower solutions. Last year we had a very nice gas setup but someone decided to trash it so we're a bit nervous to look at something else quite yet. Keep your eyes peeled though.

Liked Unfortunately I did not end up staying here but it looked absolutely beautiful. On arrival the temperature was over 40 degrees and after thinking things through I decided against camping.
